Description

Located 200 metres (400m walk) from Crackington Haven beach on a quiet road - great for kids and also adults who love walking the coastal path or exploring Cornwall. Put on the wetsuit and wander down to the cafes and beach with your bodyboard. The house is situated near to the National Trust maintained coastal path and overlooks a beautiful wooded valley with sea views from the house and garden - we have about 1/3 acre mostly populated with wild flowers - great for sitting watching the sunset over the sea sipping a glass of wine. Sun-lovers can lounge in the garden or decamp to the beach with deck chairs. Crackington is usually quite peaceful. There is more of a buzz in the summer, although still very relaxed - its great wandering down to the beach while day-trippers have to find a space in the car park.The house is furnished in a modern light airy style with large living area containing original artwork, two large sofas and lounge chairs, wood burner, coffee tables and smart TV which provides access to Catchup, Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime etc. The kitchen/diner has modern appliances including two fridges, dishwasher, washing machine, ceramic cooker and polished stone work tops. A new boiler using the latest NEST control system has been installed. A smart speaker streams music from Spotify. There is a new large master bedroom with en-suite added in 2022 with balcony - lie in bed and watch the sea, a second large master bedroom with en-suite, a large twin bedroom, and a small bedroom which can sleep 1 or 2 people at a pinch. All bathrooms are modernised with walk-in showers and marble tiling. The new breakfast/lounging area doubles as a playroom - it has a table tennis table. You can borrow the surf boards at your own risk. Via the french doors, there is a lovely patio area with table and chairs and a Weber gas barbecue - also for use at own risk. There is parking for about 4 cars. Checkout/checkin in normally 10 am to 4 pm. If there is no adjacent booking then we will try and be flexible. You can park in the drive early or later than these times. Super-fast fibre optic Wifi. Supermarket deliveries are available.

Getting around

It is best to have a car. There is a local bus service either to Bude or Wadebridge - depending on direction. It comes every couple of hours or so. It’s good to catch the bus say to Boscastle and walk back.

We will not be there - the house is all yours. We do have 24x7 local property management - Matt- to fix any issues and I am available by mobile otherwise.

We just got back from Crackington Haven Chough cottage. Beautiful location, amazingly comfortable and cozy house. Perfect place for most incredible walks or if you need privacy and relaxation.
