During the summer months, Crested Butte the "Wildflower Capital" is host to the Wildflower Festival in July as well as many athletic races ranging from Fat Tire Bike Week in June to the 1/3 Marathon from Gothic to downtown Crested Butte every 4th of July. Additionally, the Gunnison Valley is home to some of the best fly fishing around.

The newly built, upscale Mountaineer square has a wide variety of restaurants and shopping as well as the local favorite's coffee house, Camp for Coffee. There is a warming pit and a cozy area for sitting or restaurants with decks overlooking the ski base area.
From our front door, the mountain biking mecca of the United States awaits you. There are a number of trails minutes from our door. You can also take a short ride up Gothic Road to the Snodgrass trail head, an easier, rambling ride, or to the more challenging 401 trail up along the Marroon Bells overlooking Aspen Valley.
We are also within walking distance to the Mountain Express bus stop. The Mountain Express runs into town on either 20 or 40 min intervals depending on the time of year and is FREE. You can ride into town for lunch and some sight seeing in the charming old mining town of Crested Butte or ride your bike down into town and then load your bike on the bus for a less demanding ride home.
