“Quaint cottage for a couple!” My daughter and her husband enjoyed cabin #7 very much. Our only regret was there was an error in the reservation process, and they were not able to stay in the cabin for three nights, as had been planned. I will try to communicate our needs more clearly next time. At least accommodations were provided elsewhere for the third night at the resort.

“Worry free week!” Our recent trip to Three Rivers Resort was awsome. The staff was so helpful in every way they could be. After my initial reservation, I had circumstances that caused me to adjust the schedule two times. The staff was very understanding and courteous. The hospitality of all of the employees was excellent. Also the food at the Restaraunt was delicious and reasonably priced. This was a great opportunity for us to introduce a family friend to Colorado for the first time!! Definitely do recommend to all.

“Awesome..” 3 Rivers Resort is a very clean and friendly place. It has a playground for kids, a horseshoe pit for adults and a very nice restaurant/convenience store/gift store with reasonable prices. Would like it to have a little more privacy as there were people walking between the cabins and talking. But not to big of a deal. We plan on doing it again.

“Royal Coachman Fishing Cabin” For what we needed, it was great! Clean, spacious enough, enough privacy. The best part was the rest: fly shop, restaurant, and proximity to fishing water. Highly recommend!

“Great space!” We rented this cabin for three couples and three young kids over a weekend for my sister in law's wedding in Crested Butte. The drive into Crested Butte alone made it worth it for me but the customer service and obviously well cared for cabin made the whole weekend easier for us. The kids had plenty of space, in the cabin and on the playgrounds, to play without too many disagreements. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and such that I could ask for. Whenever I went in to ask a question, whoever was at the counter was friendly and able to help.

“Really friendly folks and a super stop!” Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly & helpful and the two bedroom cabin on the river was dandy - comfortably appointed & we wished we could have spent more time sitting on the deck listening to the river or sitting in the hot tub, so we'll be back another time. Our only issue was having a baby with us & not a spare inch of room in the bedroom for her "pack & play" crib. If I had realized from the pictures it would be an issue, perhaps I'd have chosen a larger cabin - just a little more attention to detail on my part would have helped.

“Schmidt Family Reunion” It is a beautiful getaway!! We enjoyed every minute of out stay. For our group we also rented the "Dance Hall and shelter in the back of it. One evening we we were inside because it rained!!! I had never been on a raft in the river. That was a neat experience!! Mike did a very good job getting us down the river!!! Our Cabin was # 23 at the end of Jane's Lane. It felt very private!!!

“clean and decent.” The cabin was very clean and had the basic amenities as advertised. The owners/employees were friendly. I got the impression they were very strict on the pet rules... But otherwise it was a nice, decent, clean place to stay. I liked that there was a porch and BBQ grill. It's only ten to fifteen minutes from crested butte..which is why I stayed here...I wanted a cabin feel close to crested butte.

“Awesome experience” We were at 3 rivers for a family reunion. The accommodations were wonderful. After a very pleasant 3 days we packed up to leave and were well on our way home when our teenage daughter realized she left her wallet in our cabin. 3 rivers staff called to tell us they found the wallet and then they mailed it to us in a very timely manner. We are looking forward to our next stay.

“Family of 3 enjoyed their stay” Would highly recommend 3 Rivers. Checked in late, after hours, and it was no problem. (did call ahead of time to let them know) Cabins are neat, clean, a little on the small side, but much nicer than a hotel. Kid loved the loft! We did a 1/2 day raft trip from 3 Rivers also, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. It was a nice quiet weekend, and look forward to going back next year. Look into the float and dine package at Garlic Mikes, a nice Italian restaurant just down river.

“Last chance summer getaway” Our cabin was perfect for the 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids). The kids loved the loft area to sleep and hang. We cooked 2 night using the kitchen and grill, all worked great! My daughter really enjoyed hanging out at the playground and meeting other children there too! The only thing I would of liked better is if there was more space in between each cabin for privacy! Otherwise we had a great time! We also enjoyed the smokehouse restaurant on premise, the wait staff is very cool & friendly!

“Great vacation” We really enjoyed our entire stay. Cabin 32 was just the right size. Everything we needed was provided. Staff was very helpful and friendly. When we are back in that area, we would definitely stay at Three Rivers Resort.

“Nice place to stay” The cabin was very well laid out and very clean. The staff was helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. Breakfast at the little restaurant was very good and inexpensive.

“Awesome vacation” Our group, anywhere from two to twelve couples, have stayed with Three Rivers for the last four or five years. The cabins are always clean, kitchen is furnished with dishes & utensils, beds are comfortable. Everyone, from property management to cleaning people are extremely helpful and friendly. They enforce a "quiet time" in the evenings so you have no trouble sleeping after a long day on the river or in the mountains. Great place to stay; we will be going back!

“A+” Almont is the perfect getaway from the busy city! This resort is was friendly and full of information for turorists. Clean and just what we needed for our family of 5. Historic Studio Cabin at Three Rivers Resort in Almont (#3)

“It's a fishing cabin” This was our first stay at three rivers. It's a fishing and river rafting hub in the mountains, so you have to keep that in mind. Cabin was nothing more than basic 1960s - 1970,s era Colorado fishing cabin and pictures are very descriptive of cabin. Actual log structure of cabin was much more historic in age. Inside was basic but very clean and well maintained. My wife and I loved it. Our kids thought it was great too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cabin was directly across the street from lodge, store and restaurant (which has very good food). If you went to summer camp as a kid, you'll love this place. If your looking for upscale, hoity toity, head over to Aspen. Otherwise, our family had a great old school family vacation here. TV reception and wi Fi access was very spotty but we did not care....didn't need it anyway as we were having to much fun in the great outdoors and enjoying our family time together.

“Three Rivers Resort was a great place in which to stay.” The cabin was in terrific shape, very clean, and provided a cozy place to stay. I was pleased with the storage space that was available throughout the cabin as well as thoughtful stocking of the kitchen with useful items. The size of the bedroom was an issue. With the storage unit along one wall there was very little room to walk around the bed and suggest removing this wall cabinet. We found that the cabin could greatly benefit from four items. A couple of comfortable chairs in which to sit and read on the nice deck would have been great on the sunny autumn days. The bathroom needs a robe hook and a hairdryer. A broom and dustpan would have made cleanup a little easier. A real plus was the friendly advice we received about wonderful places to visit and drives to take to see the fall foliage. This is definitely a location to which we will return when we are in the almont area.

“Awesome” We came up for a fishing trip last week and the cabins were perfect. The larger ones have all been remodeled recently but even the ones who haven't are atill modern and clean. It's also right on the river and they even have private water access.

“Return to Three Rivers Resort...” This was our first return to Three Rivers since the early 1980's. We rented one Riverfront Cabin, and our son and his family had an identical cabin (with sleeping loft) right next to ours. The cabins, the staff (and their attitudes), the restaurant, and the services and activities provided were all OUTSTANDING! We knew it was going to be a great time together; it was 10 times that!

“Perfect for the price and location!” We stayed in cabin #4....for the price and location, we were very happy! The accommodations were not spiffy and new but adequate. The bathroom was tidy and clean as was the bedroom and kitchenette. We brought our own food except salt and pepper. The Three Rivers does not supply any kind of "food" or edibles so bring your own salt and pepper. That was the only think lacking. We would go back without question. The location is close to the Taylor River Canyon, Crested Butte and Gothic. 'The staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed ourselves!

“Wonderful cabin, helpful staff” The cabin at Three Rivers Resort was exceptionally nice. It was just as it appeared in photos, and had that "new" feel to everything. The loft was a hit with my 9, 12, 14 year old kids. The staff was quite helpful in suggesting hiking and travel alternatives. Very nice. Some cooking pans and utensils were available.

“Our Favorite Resort” This was the first time staying in cabin #61. Usually stay in Cabin #59. If you have never been to TRR you need to check out these cabins on the river. They are perfect for families and have all the ammenities for us "needy" ones. Great covered decks, and there's nothing like the sound of the river to put you to sleep after a long day. This is one of the nicest Co. resorts you can find.

About Crested Butte

Located high in the Colorado Rockies, Crested Butte is known for its fresh air, abundance of wilderness activities, and stunning Victorian architecture. A former mining town, Crested Butte is now one of the biggest ski destinations in Southwestern Colorado. Many of the quaint and unique shops in the town can be found along Gothic Avenue and Elk Street, and are within walking distance of the slopes.

While you're on vacation in Crested Butte, be sure to make time for some of these activities and destinations:

  • Go Skiing: The mountains here are covered in snow during the winter months and create an unforgettable skiing or snowboarding experience.
  • Go Horseback Riding: During the summer, Crested Butte is also a hotbed for outdoor activities including fly fishing, horseback riding, and mountain biking.
  • Mountain Bike Hall of Fame: Crested Butte is one of the first places where mountain biking originated.
  • Nordic Center: This center has an ice skating rink and plenty of trails for cross-country skiing.
  • Hartman Rocks: Located in nearby Gunnison, Hartman Rocks has great bouldering, rock climbing, and mountain biking during the summer months.
  • Rafting Black Canyon: Paddle down the Gunnison River, which runs through the canyon area.

Unsurprisingly for a ski town, Crested Butte has cold winters and mild, pleasant summers. The town holds a number of festivals throughout the year, regardless of the season. Some of them include the Butte Bash College Ski Week in January, the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival in July, and the Paragon Peoples' Fair in October, a large outdoor fair held in the middle of town. Choose from a variety of homes including spacious condos, luxury villas, and cozy cabins with picturesque views.

Beautiful House and Great Location!

We just returned from our 9-day vacation in Crested Butte. The Lily was the perfect "home-base" for our group. It's ideally located between Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. We took advantage of many of the hiking/mountain biking trails conveniently located nearby. It was easy to go into town to pick up groceries, go to dinner, rent a bike or just mosey around. The house was super clean and stocked up when we arrived. All the necessities are covered (linens, paper products, pantry items, Wifi). The kitchen is fantastic - we cooked many meals and gathered around the dining table easily seating all 8 of our group - enjoying the sweeping views of the mountains and valley. The house has plenty of space to lounge, watch tv or read a book without feeling like you are on top of anyone else. I give the Lily two enthusiastic thumbs up!!! Marc was also very easy to get in touch with and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend the Lily if you are looking for a place near Crested Butte.see more
