Additional Location Information

Cliffside House is set in woodland half a mile from the village amenities of Crich. There are stunning and extensive views of the Derwent Valley and the sunsets and early morning mists are loved by photographers.
Shops in Crich provide every day items, tea rooms and eating out. The Cliff Inn 100 yards away provides a friendly welcome, good beer and food. We are well served by bus (0.25 mile) and train (1 mile) to local towns and cities, or you can just walk from the door into the countryside along the many footpaths.
By road, we are 8 miles from the M1 motorway and 5 miles from the A38 and we are easily found by following the brown Tourist signs for the Crich Tramway Museum.
As we are on the edge of the Peak District Park, many walkers, cyclists and sightseers love the area. For those looking for sporting activities, there is a variety of golf courses and a watersports centre at nearby Carsington Reservoir.
For those visitors who enjoy historic houses and buildings, the area provides many attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Kedleston Hall, Hardwick Hall and many industrial buildings, e.g. Cromford Mill and other buildings of engineers such as Arkwright, Stephenson, Whitworth.
