Even though it wasnt Christmas .. it felt like it

The accomodation is more than adequate and every thing was catered for, lounge cosy and suitable for two with a separate dining room. The kitchen is nicely decorated and again every thing had been though of. Bedrooms upstairs made or good sleeping !!!
Being in the centre it was lovely to go for walks through the village and into the countryside with out moving your car.

Stunning, stylish and cosy

I was bowled over the first minute I walked in to the cottage. Beautifully decorated, with cosy touches, yet family (and dog) friendly. We had a wonderful stay and I would certainly come back to this cottage with my family.

best Sykes property yet

we stayed here with our two chidlren and friends with their boy. The accomodation was very comfortable - well above the 5*s given - and the proprietors very friendly - involving the children in seeing the new lambs, calves and milking. we will definitely be back!!!

Great cottage, shame about the wardrobe space!

Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with everything on hand that we could need. The only downside was the wardrobe space. As we were only there for three nights it wasn't too big a problem but had we been staying longer it could have proved problematic!

9 of us stayed for four days, for a relaxing break.

The barn conversion is fantastic. Very high quality fixtures and fittings, clean, comfortable bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms for a property that sleeps 14. You could easily fit 3 families in without them falling over each other. The hot tub is an added bonus...

Wonderful relaxing cottage

Stayed for 3 nights with family on a cold weekend. House was cosy and warm so we sat by the log fire in the evening drinking wine, chatting and playing games. Bathroom with its enormous bath was amazing. Bedrooms all lovely. Best equipped cottage I have ever stayed in.. Visited Matlock, Matlock Bath, Buxton, Bakewell. All lovely.

I would recommend this property highly; its beautifully finished, the garden and attached field is ideal for those who have pets. Really enjoyed living on a farm , the dogs were adorable.
The cottage was positioned so you weren't to far off the like of Buxton, Matlock and surrounding areas.

      The cottage was as cottages are meant to be:- quaint, cosy, warm, intimate, quirky. A short drive from the nearest village but well worth the drive. The owner is lovely and really helpful.
