Villa Rosina

Villa Rosina is situated just outside of Dalyan and provides an ideal place to rest after hectic days out. There's plenty to do to keep a family happy for a couple of weeks. For the active, there's mountain biking, sea kayaking, paragliding, diving, water-skiing, horse riding and white water rafting to name a few or for the less active there is the incredible ruins of Caunos to explore, mud and thermal baths, fishing days, boat cruises, the local Hamam (Turkish baths) and the Saturday markets, But most impressive of all are the Loggerhead (or Caretta Caretta) turtles which can be spotted on turtle beach at Iztuzu and in the water around it.

Additional Location Information

Being situated along a lane at the foot of the mountains and just outside the main town of Dalyan means the area is very quiet with stunning views, it is ideal for those who like to unwind in the evening on the terrace. The villa is also one of the most private in the area as the pool is also situated at the rear of property (most are at the front).
The local bus or "Dolmus" will stop where ever you are waiting along the main road and runs every 15 minutes during the season and every half hour out of season, it takes about 5 mins to get to Dalyan town center and costs only 2TL each . There are also taxis for those who prefer, prices vary but are around 20TL (ask first). You can hire bicycles locally for exploring the area or there are numerous places (including our representative) where you can arrange days out. All this means car hire is optional rather than essential.
For a relaxing day out, take a boat ride to the Iztuzu beach, which is a 4.5KM spit of land that seperates the freshwater Dalyan river delta from the Mediteranean sea and due to being a breeding ground for the Caretta caretta turtles has been protected since 1988. You can either charter a boat or jump on the regular beach taxi boat for a cheaper alternative (it is not expensive). Once aboard it takes 20 minutes or so to meander through the reeds along the river to get to the beach and you can simply hop on the same boat service when you're ready to go back. Alternatively the local bus (dolmus) also runs to the other end of the beach on a regular service if you prefer land to water.
There are plenty of places in town to arrange days out for any type of day from water rafting & paragliding for the active to the Hamam & Mud baths for a relaxing day with all sorts of other activities available too.
For a little history, there are the ancient ruins of Kaunos dating from the 10th century BC easily reached by road or boat, whose Kings built their tombs in the cliff face and are still visible from Dalyan.
