“Fantastic cabin in the Black hills of South Dakota” Just spent three nights at the cabin, what a fantastic find, everything about if was superb. Mary was a great host and very helpful. The setting is idyllic and very peaceful with beautiful views across the meadow. The cabin is equipped with everything you need, and is the best equipped we have ever come across. Very comfy and cosy especially when the snow came. We hope to return and explore more of South Dakota in the future and wouldn't look to stay anywhere else.

“Excellent accommodation and service” We had a extremely comfortable 4 night stay here. The house is well maintained and presented.I think Debra had thought of everything her guests could need while on vacation. From the extremely comfortable beds to the out door seating and barbecue everything was perfect. The breakfast basket was a lovely surprise on our first morning and nothing was ever too much trouble including the use of the washer & dryer which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. Thank you so much for your hospitality Debra

“A wonderful cabin with very nice hosts!” We were so pleased with the cabin and our hosts! It could not have been better. An awesome view of the Black Hills from the porch and close to Nemo for supplies. I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to experience life in this beautiful area of the hills.

“Great Weekend at Eagle Vista” We had a great 4 night stay at Eagle Vista. It was the perfect place to stay with friends on Spring Break. The cabin was only minutes from Terry Peak which the skiers greatly enjoyed. It was also very close to Deadwood and we called one of the cab companies Delf suggested to bring us one night. The cabin is beautiful and the perfect size with every amenity listed on the website . The view is unbelievable and we could not get enough of it by spending hours and hours on the deck. My personal favorite part was the large hot tub that had a great view of the mountains. Thanks again Delf for the wonderful cabin and all your help. We will definitely be back next year!

“Weekend get away” We were looking for a place to stay while we were in the Black Hills. Heard about this rental and was lucky enough to be able to stay there. We had motorcycles and it was in close location of the places we wanted to ride. Just a very comfortable cozy place to stay. I would recommend this property to others.

About Deadwood

The South Dakota town of Deadwood has long been revered as one of the most legendary US towns during the wild frontier days. Interesting museums, beautiful scenery from the Black Hills, and a wide array of casinos have kept visitors coming back and made it one of the biggest vacation getaways in the region. Most of the restaurants and shops in Deadwood can be found on Main Street, but there's something to explore on just about every street in the area.

Here are just a few of the must-see attractions and activities in Deadwood:

  • Adams House Museum: Built by the family of Benjamin Franklin, this historic mansion has been kept in pristine condition and tours of the estate are offered year-round.
  • Mount Moriah Cemetery: In addition to being the grave site of legendary figures from the Old West like Wild Bill and Calamity Jane, the cemetery is located on a steep hill that offers amazing views of the whole town.
  • Tatanka: This site explores the history of the bison that were in excess of 30 million at one point, but nearly extinct by the end of the 19th century.
  • Go Gambling: Midnight Star and Silverado Casino are two of the many top-notch casinos that can be found throughout town.
  • Nelson's Garage Car Museum: Some of the most recognizable automobiles from TV and film can be found here including the Jeep from M-A-S-H and the Aston Martin from the first James Bond film.

The majority of the sporting events and musical performances that take place here typically occur during the summer months, but there's plenty to do here whenever you decide to visit. Admire the elaborate costumes and floats at the parade along Main Street for Deadwood Mardi Gras in February, watch some of the top poker players from throughout the US compete at the Deadwood Poker Shootout Tournament in April, and cheer on the riders when the rodeo comes to town in July.

Whether you're looking for a condo with picturesque views, or a cozy and rustic cabin in one of the more remote areas of town, there's a vacation rental that will put you exactly where you want to be in this lovely town. There are properties available throughout Deadwood that can easily accommodate large groups of people and cater to all budget types.

While there are plenty of attractions and things to do in Deadwood, some of the biggest attractions in South Dakota are also within a short drive of town. If you have some extra time to explore, Black Hills National Forest and the Mount Rushmore National Memorial can both be reached within one hour by car.

Wild Bill
Nice little house

This house was very quaint with gorgeous antique furniture. It has 2 nice sized bedrooms and plenty of room for a family of four. There was not a kitchen, but there is a small fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. They also provide dishware for use with these appliances. It was clean and had everything available that we needed. Deadwood is a great little town and we enjoyed our stay there.see more

Lovely Cottage

This is a lovely cottage right on the edge of town but within walking distance of downtown. The house was cute, clean and very comfortable for our group of 7. We greatly enjoyed the hottub, even in single digit weather and the fireplace in the livingroom added a nice, toasty feeling to the cold evening.see more
