The ski-in/ski-out, Double Eagle condominiums are located in Silver Lake, mid-mountain Deer Valley Resort. They are built up the hillside and have a ski access onto the Success ski run on Bald Eagle Mountain, Deer Valley Resort’s lower mountain. From this trail, ski down to the base of the mountain and start your ski day from there (the base area is also where the ski school meets for lessons each morning and afternoon). From the top of Bald Eagle you can catch the access and ski right back to the condo.
This condo is quite lovely with great views of the ski runs at Deer Valley. It is a spacious (approximately 3000 square feet), 3 level floor plan with a split entry. From the front door you go up to the main level where the living room, kitchen, and dining area are combined as one great room. Just outside the living room is a deck with views of the ski runs. The second bedroom with it's own private bathroom, and a powder room convenient to the common living space, are also on the main level. Upstairs is the master bedroom suite. The lower level consists of a family room, the third bedroom, the laundry closet, and the patio with a private hot tub. Also on this level is the "ski in" door with a storage area for skis and gear just inside, as well as the attached garage.
Ski Access: Ski out via the elevator accessed trail just behind the complex. Just walk through the common area garage, jump on the elevator and it will take you to the top of the complex where you will ski-out to the Success Run at Deer Valley Resort. Ski back via the 'Double Eagle Access Trail' right to the back door of this condo (all ski-in/ski-out access trails are conditions permitting).
Living Room: Vaulted ceiling, hardwood flooring, floor to ceiling stone fireplace (gas log fireplace), TV.
Family Room: Couch unit that could be made up as two child size twin beds, TV, VCR.
Kitchen: Slate flooring, lots of counter space, stainless steel appliances including a 4 burner Viking stove with both a griddle and grill, Sub Zero side by side refrigerator, reverse osmosis tap at kitchen sink for purified water. Counter/bar separates the kitchen space from the living area.
Dining Room: Seating at the dining table for 8-10, with barstool seating for 3 at the kitchen counter.
Master – King bed, TV, walk in closet, adjoining full bath with jetted tub and separate shower.
Second – King bed, adjoining bathroom with adjoining full bath with jetted tub and separate shower.
Third – Two sets of bunk beds with queen on bottom, twin on top, adjoining full bathroom (this room sleeps 6 people).
Hot Tub: Private to condo, located on lower level patio.
Laundry Room: Washer and dryer in laundry closet on lower level.
Air Conditioning: No
Garage: Private, attached 2 car garage.
Distance to Deer Valley Resort: Use ski access to get onto the ski runs and back to the condo, or walk to the Silver Lake Lodge (2/10 mile).To use the ski access, enter the common garage, take the elevator and stairs up to the snow, then pole/skate out to the Success ski run. It is a relatively flat trail with not much slope.

Distance to Main Street: 3.5 miles
Distance to Free Bus: 75 yards to bus stop.

This was a nice condo, very clean. Walking distance to the Silver Lake Lodge area, Stein Eriksen Lodge, etc.. The lights at night on the trees of the adjacent Bald Eagle Drive were charming. The furniture was a bit dated, and the internet access was slow. A groomed slope comes right down to the back porch. To leave the condo on skis, one has to take an elevator up to the back of the complex to the ski run - not a big problem.

This was a great unit. Clean, up to date, fully and well furnished, everything in good working order, quiet, convenient to lifts and center of Silverlake. Check in after hours was easy and staff at alpine office was competent, cheerful and professional. I would rent it again and certainly rent from alpine again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Double Eagle #13, plenty of space and everyone had their own area. as a family we enjoyed cooking some stay in meals and being so close to everything Deer Valley was great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this unit and would stay again. Thanks for the great weekend.

Our summer stay in Double Eagle 13 is always wonderful! Double Eagle 13 is roomy and at the same time quite cozy. It has a completely stocked kitchen and the property manager, Alpine Ski Properties, leaves no stone unturned in their effort to provide us with a wonderful vacation experience.
