With breathtaking views of beautiful Lake Amistad, this two bedroom, two bath Mediterranean-style villa has everything a vacationing group of friends, family with older children, or sportsmen could want.
The house combines traditional Mexican hacienda features with unique decor from around the world to create a distinctive villa which has been featured on multiple noteworthy home design websites, including hgtv and houzz.
Completed in November of 2009, the villa consists of 1,450 square feet of living space with saltillo tile floors and luxurious touches such as granite counter tops throughout. The house consists of a spacious master suite and guestroom (both with full ensuite baths), a gourmet kitchen, a 20 foot loft ceiling in the main living area, and an additional 600 square feet of outdoor living space.
The large master suite has a queen size bed, walk-in closet, open concept shower, and a garden tub for two with views of the lake. French doors open to the private balcony mentioned above, providing panoramic views of the spectacular sunrises and sunsets over Lake Amistad, Amistad Dam, and the Sleeping Lady mountain range.
The spacious guest room contains a queen size bed and a large bay window that would easily accommodate a sleeping child.
The living room houses a 51’ flatscreen tv and dvd player, two cozy side chairs, and a hideaway sofa bed.
The patio and private master suite balcony stretch the length of the house and were carefully designed to take full advantage of the magnificent views and lakeside breezes. The covered saltillo tile patio downstairs is equipped with a grill and an outdoor seating area that makes a perfect place to enjoy a drink or socialize. A hammock is also perfectly placed for a late afternoon siesta if you prefer to relax and take in the view.
Amenities include the finest quality bed linens, wifi, cable, cookware and cooking utensils, a laundry room, and a microwave, stove and refrigerator. With advance notice housekeeping, catered meals, kayak rentals, or private sailing or yoga classes can be arranged. A masseuse is also available for house calls.
Lake Amistad is arguably America's top bass fishing lake, but the area offers much more than fishing and boating. Water sports such as skiing, jet skiing, and scuba diving are rounded out by the opportunity to view world-class rock art dating from thousands of years ago and exotic game hunting at famous Texas ranches across the region....Read more

From the time, I began to talk to Jennifer about this place till today when we left from there, there is not one thing that I would know of to be anything but excellent!! Jenn was very prompt in answering emails, and telling us everything we needed to know about the place. We arrived there in the afternoon, and everything was just as she said it would be.... We love the west and this is a good spot... Big sky, and the lake too! We had everything we needed, the beds were excellent, even the sofa sleeper which you rarely find to be comfortable. Blankets and sheets were excellent. Loved the outside veranda upstairs. I watched the sunset out there one evening...beautiful. We really enjoyed cooking while we were there. Kitchen had what we needed, and I liked the table to be able to sit as a family. Good spot for our little family thanksgiving... Really sings good in there too!!!

Simply put, our stay at Jennifer's beautiful lake house was one of our most memorable trips to date.
Jennifer is a delightful person with exquisite taste. We sincerely enjoyed our interactions with her from the booking process all the way to our checkout time. There was always an immediate response and a genuine eagerness to help our stay be flawless.
We arrived to a home even more beautiful than the pictures and felt at home throughout the entire week we were there.
Lake amistad is a gorgeous place to spend some time away from home and Jennifer's home is perfectly located; secluded yet close enough to Del Rio for shopping etc. The house is equipped with everything from the kitchen to the laundry room, you will feel you are home.
We will never forget the lovely Christmas we spent at Jennifer's and would recommend her home for anyone who is looking for a peacefilled stay in Del Rio.
“Beautiful - Only High End Option in Val Verde County”

We stayed at this beautiful home during a filming project in West Texas. As the film's field producer, I did considerable research into regional accommodations. This place stood out as very pleasant and really the only high end option in Val Verde County. The owner was gracious, fun and easy to work with. She is also a wealth of information on local activities and attractions. The house was spacious and had views of the lake. Note however, that this is a remote location and wifi and cable TV were unavailable at the time of our stay. I expect this will get corrected and it did not really matter to us since we did not go there to watch TV and our at&T; cell internet connections worked just fine. We plan to return frequently and would recommend this to anyone looking for top notch accommodations in the area.
Thank you so much for the kind words. You were a pleasure to work with and I can't wait to have you back. I did want to mention that after this weekend (9/5/13)we will also have wifi and basic cable available for our guests.
