You don’t need to travel far to relax in an island paradise! This Destin beach condo has been adorned to imitate a far off oasis. Eye-catching patterns of zebras and jungle animals paired with natural fiber clad mirrors and oversized vases will bring out your wild side. A round glass table with a tropical floral centerpiece, camel colored couches, and an elephant embroidered chair and footstool let you wine and dine in comfort. Even the bedrooms and bathrooms have been given special touches. They are reminiscent of jungle escapes with silk palm trees and orchids, prints of parrots over rich hard wood beds and even a leopard shower curtain. The master bathroom in particular is fantastic with a huge fern hanging over the Jacuzzi tub and a romantic bedroom to match. Although you may want to spend all your time enjoying this designer interior, the Gulf of Mexico is right outside your balcony doors. Destin’s sandy beaches are waiting for your footprints, and the refreshing waters are ready to let your cares drift away with the current.

It's on the 16th floor and right on the beach. Nice and clean, had everything we needed. Sleeps 6 people comfortably. 8 would be a little cramped. The first night when we arrived late, we were devastated to see that they had not cleaned up the place. But one call to Newman-Dailey fixed it. They took care of us right away and even compensated us. Awesome customer service.
The only reason I am giving Jade East 1630 "very good" rating instead of "Excellent" is because of some broken furniture. One of the bar chairs was broken, the master closet had lot of old stuff in it (old tv, stereos, etc.). But all in all, we would go back.
Also the numeric code lock was a great plus. You don't need keys to get in and out, the place has a numeric keypad lock.

As frequent guests at Jade East, we've had experience with other condos to compare. While I've never had a bad stay at Jade East, this condo was exceptional. Very clean, beautiful furniture and the Jade East staff. We always hate to leave.

We've stayed in Destin and at the Jade East several times. This uning was very nicely decorated, great view from the balcony. The only downer was the ocean - the green grass or whatever is like algae and was really gross. Usually its over by this time of year, but this has been an unusual year with the Gulf Oil Spill etc.
Reservations and check in were particularly helpful. Jade East is a nice place and kept clean inside and out.
We tried Dewey's Destin, very good. We went back to Captain Dave's and Back Porch, both better than usual. The crowds are less at this time of year, so traffic, etc. was better than usual.

We had a great time at Jade East, although this condo needs some minor repairs and a few additions added to make this a great condo. New countertops in the kitchen, a dresser in the master bedroom so you dont have to live out of a suitcase. A new ceiling fan in the bedrooms that dont squeek. And new curtins in the 2nd bedroom that can help with the light and sounds from the outside hall. Other than these few minor things, this condo is near perfect and comfortable.
Thank you for your review & suggestions. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay, despite these inconveniences. I am happy to forward this to the homeowner so that they can address the issues.

When we arrived at unit inside the unit there still was mold and mildew in the master shower.
It looks like they are in the process of refurbishing it, and there was paint smeared all over the kitchen counter tops.
The master bedroom get extremely hot, if you leave the curtains open.
The base boards were in really bad shape and needed to be repainted.
As much as I had paid for this unit, I felt I could of gone elsewhere for a more 'up scale' place to stay.
I called Newman-Dailey after my stay, and they just said 'Thanks for the input'. I would of thought they would of offed some compensation.
The balcony is nice, and has a nice view but a bit small. The interior was decorated nicely.
The pool was very clean, and warm for an afternoon swim. Loved the beach service.
In the hall ways there is dust everywhere especially all over the elevators because they are re grouting the hallways.
Thank you very much for reporting these items to us. We appreciate the opportunity to correct the issues at hand, so they don't happen again.

This was our first stay at the property and it was thoroughly enjoyed. The condo is located close to the elevators which open directly to the walkway to the beach and pool. There are no parking lots to cross which is great when traveling with young children. We can't wait to stay here again!
