Description

Family house that combines tradition and modernity. Surrounded by fields and facing south, La Motte sees flowing in front of its windows the bed of the Rance where two islets planted with beautiful trees shelter including deer, ducks and herons. This architectural ensemble is indicative of the influence of the model of the rich rural houses of the Pays des Faluns, especially the merchants of canvases resulting from the regional culture of hemp and linen, on the lodgings built by the nobility. The cadastre of 1833 indicates several other dwellings to the north, now extinct, which probably corresponded to the former farm of the manor. From this old hamlet there is a well, an oven and a little further on the Rance, a mill. Without water or electricity until 2004, it has been fully restored and now offers all the amenities expected to spend a pleasant holiday: a large kitchen, a scullery-laundry, beautiful rooms to meet with family or with friends around a big table or a fire. It can accommodate up to fourteen people. The rate shown is for a minimum of 6 people. Modular rates according to the length of stay and the number of beds occupied.
