Located in Discovery Bay where Columbus is said to have first landed in Jamaica, Sea Haven offers entryway into this tropical paradise that so marveled its first explorers. The periwinkle blue exterior, sunshine yellow interior and barrel vaulted blue sky ceiling within the classic structure of the villa help make this an idyllic destination by the sea. On one side of the waterfront is a built-up sandy area and, on the other, cut-stone steps that lead to delightful snorkeling spots and the offshore raft.
The garden consists of just under an acre of tropical shrubs and trees, the trunks of which are spotted with wild orchids. Fruits abound and an exotic allamanda vine shades the entrance. An irresistible half moon pool tiled with ocean blue mosaics and the shade of the gazebo are also favorites. A bird “feeding tree” frames the view. The chef will be happy to serve you in the dining room, on the verandah or alfresco, by sunlight or candlelight.
The many antiques at Sea Haven include a 200-year-old twig rocker and tortoise-back mahogany dining chairs that came from Admiralty House in Port Royal. The pieces were once used by Admiral Lord Rodney and Horatio Nelson when he was an ensign. The living room opens to the wide sixty foot verandah, a veritable feast of pickled wicker, draping vines and floral colors.
The four stately bedrooms at Sea Haven include en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. A rough hewn chair in the master bedroom once belonged to the captain of a schooner that plied between the Caribbean islands in the seventeenth century. The sea and tropical views are absolutely enchanting.
Less than an hour from the airport, Discovery Bay is a unique horseshoe bay that offers a foray into Jamaica’s rich history. At nearby Columbus Park, you can learn about the Spanish colonial era through the artifacts on display. Today, Sea Haven belongs to strip of houses colloquially referred to as either “Millionaire’s Row” or “Jamaica’s Riviera.” Lounge on the seaside hammock and let your cares melt away.

We were a party of 8adults and 2one yr olds and the accommodations were perfect. We all enjoyed the property and the three women who took care of us were wonderful. We enjoyed the sun, the hammock, the kayaks, snorkeling, and eating like a native Jamaican. - Nancy D., Pennsylvania, USA

My family and I enjoyed this vacation very much. It was home away from home. Alfred and the rest of the Sea Haven team were very nice and welcoming. Although it was a pleasure to have a cook, we would have liked to have prepared some of our own meals. Other than that i would definitely recommend this property to others and I will definitely go back. Booking through Jetsetter was scary :-) at first but now that I have gone through the experience I am sold! You guys are great, professional and helped to make the booking process pleasant. I will recommend you to others! - Deborah F., ,

The villa was quite charming; Guy Harvey, the marine wildlife artist, has visited Sea Haven several times and the villas actually has some of his artwork on display. We were able to use the tennis court next door, which was a big positive. Overall, everyone enjoyed the trip. There are a few things that could be improved; the ice maker is not working and the staff had to fill it with bag ice. An additional beverage refrigerator would be most helpful and would keep everyone out of \"Alfred\'s refrigerator\". Many of the houses in the area have motor boats on the premises; adding a Boston Whaler or similar boat would be a tremendous added benefit. Alfred and Elva are indeed wonderful!!!

Our visit to Sea Haven was delightful! We loved every moment of our stay. Alfred cooked delicious food and Elva was very attentive. The refurbished bedroom off of the porch looks great. A good time was had by all! Thank you!
