“Very comfortable stay”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2018

We had a great 5 night break at The Lodge. Well equipped and comfortable, it was also thankfully pretty much toddler proof! The owners had kindly provided a high chair which was very helpful. We loved visiting the farm animals, petting the farm dogs and our 15 month old loved seeing the tractors! Lovely quiet location within easy reach of Peebles (well worth a visit). West Linton also lovely. We also enjoyed Kailzie Gardens. Sadly the owners weren't in when we tried to go and buy some of their sausages and bacon, but from reading reviews it sounds like they are delicious! Would recommend!

“Beutiful Countryside Cottage”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2018

Firstly the hosts Melanie and her husband were the perfect hosts available but not intrusive. The cottage is on a working farm, very tastefully furnished with all amenities. They have two very friendly dogs, it was a pleasure to play with them. Town of Peebles is close by and Edinburgh is not too far off (30 mins away). We will certainly visit them again. “Lovely child friendly stay in the countryside”

Reviewed 7 Nov 2017

A nice lodge situated in the quiet countryside but within easy travelling distance of many villages, towns and attractions. The kids loved being on a farm and seeing all the local residents! Well worth getting some of the farm's own bacon, sausages and eggs for breakfast. Would recommend this property and won't rule out a return ourselves.
