We really enjoyed staying in this holiday villa. It was quiet, we were a quick walk to a choice of terrific beaches and we rented a car to travel around the island. It was great to have Juliet come in and do a tidy and clean around throughout the stay as well, so thank you to her! We ate take aways, cooked and walked the short distance to some very good local restaurants. The villa is really nicely styled, the kitchen is well stocked with equipment and the outside area is charming. I would very much recommend a stay here. I've ticked the excellent value box for this property as compared with all the other properties I looked at it is well priced - however Barbados is expensive for property prices. Read more
Thank you for mentioning the lovely Juliette who works so hard to keep our house spotless!
You are right that Barbados can cost a bit more. We think it's well worth it. It's far enough south in the Caribbean to be reliably hot and sunny. No cool rainy vacations here! And the people of the island are wonderful. Barbados is stable, clean and has low crime rates. A great place to enjoy a holiday!

"loved it so much we stayed another week!"

Seagrass was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy what Barbados has to offer. It was comfortable, clean, equipped with everything we needed to cook - however the restaurants and take aways were at times too enticing. The location was perfect with a couple of minutes walk to Dover beach, a 15 minute drive to the airport, short walk to the infamous Gap with it's vendors, restaurants, and bars.
The neighbouring beaches each had something to offer - at the end of the street the beach was a nesting ground for Hawksbill turtles which were in their hatching period while we were there. At night we would go to the beach and help the baby turtles find their way to safety under the moonlight...an incredible experience. a minute from this beach is Dover - a beautiful stretch of clean soft sand that was perfect for swimming, sunbathing, sunsets and sipping Banks:) Read more
Dear Tina and Phil. Thank you for posting your review. It warms our hearts to hear how much you enjoyed Barbados and Seagrass. What an emotional experience it is to see the turtles hatching. You are so lucky to have caught this. We really love that little beach and wander down there almost every night. It's great to sit and watch the ocean with a glass of wine or a rum punch!
So glad you enjoyed your time. Come again some time soon!
"Perfect for our group"

We had a group of 6 for a bachelorette/30th birthday party weekend. The house was perfect for us. It's clean and modern with plenty of space. The master bedroom and bathroom are gorgeous (and very large) and the other rooms are very nice as well. We loved the patio in the back and started and ended every day either with coffee or nightcaps out there. It was really nice to have all that common space for our group, rather than divide up into hotel rooms.
Just at the end of the block is a deli/market, as well as access to a gorgeous beach. You can also walk to St. Lawrence Gap very easily. Overall, this place was a great value and we would stay again! Read more
I'm so glad you enjoyed your time at Seagrass! It is wonderful fun to be together in a comfortable home rather than hotel rooms. And it sounds like you found Rainbow Beach! It is a beautiful little hidden gem. I do hope you will come again. Thanks for taking the time to write your review.

We've been vacationing in Barbados for over 10 years now and this was the best experience yet. The minute I walked into Sea Grass I knew I had arrived at a very special place - a place to call our own! It is very well appointed, beautifully decorated - in such a comfortable calming way.
The location is fabulous. The biggest decisions of the day is which of the three beautiful beaches (within easy walking distance) to choose for a morning swim or to end the day watching the sunset.
The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and relaxed, with conveniences such as the local farmer selling his produce on the side of the road, to the convenience grocer and one of the best Bajan cooking take aways! Seagrass + Dover make for a perfect Barbados getaway! Read more
It sounds like you found your way around the neighbourhood to all the best places. Hopefully you also found the barista at the end of the street and enjoyed a great Cappuccino! It is very gratifying to hear that a regular visitor to the island had such a great experience in our home. We hope you will come again. Thanks for your review!

"Simply the best way to do Barbados!"

My stay at the beautiful Seagrass Villa was my first non-hotel and non-resort experience, and after having spent such a heavenly week there, I would not hesitate one instant to return. I highly recommend it. There simply is no better way to do Barbados! It definitely delivers on all 3 L's for an excellent vacation getaway: Location, Location, Location... a 3 minute walk from seeing breathtaking sunrises and sunsets at the beach... 2 street blocks from tennis courts and a coffee shop... a grocery store with a nice selection of wines and liquor at the street corner, as well as vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables daily just down the street... Make sure you go to Oistins and enjoy the delicious catch of the day at annie's Grill, catch a game at Bert's Bar, go to the horse races, shop along the boardwalk, enjoy the night life. Warning to all hot sauce lovers: Barbados has the most delicious hot sauce, so make sure to leave room in your luggage to bring some back! Seagrass also excels on the 3 C's of vacation housing: comfortable, cozy, and clean! The pictures definitely do accurately reflect the property's appeal. With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen, a comfortable living room with flatscreen TV, a covered patio to enjoy outdoor meals, there is plenty of room for families or a group of friends. See for yourself! You will not regret it. Whether you want outdoor adventures or just want to soak up the sun while reading a book, Seagrass is the perfect way to do Barbados! Read more
Thank you for the wonderful review. We are really thrilled that you enjoyed your stay so much. You really did find your way around to a lot of the great attractions. And I know how wonderful it feels to return to the comfortable calm of Seagrass after a hot day out and about. A dip in the ocean and a stroll back to the patio for a cocktail. Heaven!
We hope you will return soon.
