My wife and I drove down the Dalmatian coast from Split to Dubrovnik, passing half way as the sun set and entering into Dubrovnik at full dark. This apartment is roughly 15 minutes beyond the Dubrovnik bridge, and we were exhausted from the travel and a bit unnerved by the terrible drivers we encountered. However, we were met at the door to the apartment, shown nearby parking, and escorted up into a lovely, peaceful haven.
The apartment is spacious, features a well-stocked kitchen and a nice herbs for tea, homemade jam and marmalade. There is a full-sized fridge and microwave oven, even anti-mosquito tool, making this one of the best-equipped vacation rentals I've ever stayed at. The bedroom is cozy and the bed and linens quite nice.
It seems a bit of a ways from town at first but the walk is short; dodging traffic and seeking the sidewalk which randomly changes sides of the road is your only concern. There's a small market just down the street but we never went there as there's a larger market just a ten minute walk away, and lovely shopping at the open market, about a 20 minute walk away from the apartment.
Wonderful hiking abounds in the area; the work to the hilltop of near mountain is must-do, and there's a very intriguing path that goes behind the wood, lead to the hidden spot for perfect zen. Thank you owners for showing to us.
This part of Dubrovnik is not sold out to tourism and retains a energy all it's own. We very much enjoyed our stay and would like to explore the region further. This apartment is the perfect base to do so from.
