Response from the owner Sorry Heron Lodge did not live up to your expectations...! In the description of Heron Lodge it is made plain that it is situated on an uncommercialised site...in other words not a holiday camp site. There is just a small hamlet of lodges that are all privately owned, some owners use solely for themselves and others do holiday let rentals. Although the lodge did not meet your expectations you must be an exception to the rule as we have many repeat and new guests alike that are very pleased to have stayed at Heron Lodge and recommend accordingly to friends and family for a future visit. Maybe for your next planned holiday with your grandson you try a commercialised holiday site with things to do on site if you do not wish to venture out by car to explore the local area. Response from the owner Thank you for your review of Heron lodge....Glad to see you had a great stay and holiday and are pleased to see you will return again sometime. However, we do realise we do strive to ensure Heron Lodge is presented in good order to our guests...but realise that we cannot be perfect every time...... and on this occasion accept we did miss something ! We do try to remove all items that guests seem to leave behind even when they hide things down the chairs, under the sofa and furniture etc... KR Louise
