Please read pricing info below, do not use the base rated quoted.
Our prices vary considerably throughout the year from week to week and it is impossible to list them all, in four cottages, our base rate is £100 a day to £200 peak, please ask for a quote. We are generally around £890 for a peak week and £390 for off peak. School holidays are generally over £500 per period. Our changeover days are Friday and Monday only. Weekends are sold by Fri, Sat and Sun only, we can not discount for a Sunday departure. Midweek is generally cheaper, quiet, with no minimum stay and from £129. We advertise on many sites but do try to keep the calendar up to date, this can be difficult at times so please check first. I always try to respond withing a few hours. Because we cannot list all prices, flipkey will always use the base rate to quote, this is incorrect and can be a long way out at peak times, this is due to the inflexibility of their system and is very misleading. Please contact us for a quote stating the correct number of guests, average age and if you intend to bring pets. We will normally get back to you within a few hours with a price.

We stayed a long weekend, 2 adults and a child (6 years old), cottage was lovely and clean, swimming pool was always warm, hob tub was beautifully relaxing. You can book private sessions which is perfect for private family time. There was a massive snooker table but we didn't get a chance to play as we were addicted to the pool. Area is lovely too, you get to see some lovely wildlife, we saw many species of bird and lots of rabbits everywhere! The cottage itself was lovely, has everything needed even down to a hairdryer which I forgot to pack :-) fridge freezer (with ice trays), microwave, cooker (with utensils), towels provided, tea/coffee etc as well as fresh eggs! The beds were so soft and relaxing, got a few great nights sleep in them!! The owner was pleasant as were the people of Durham (very welcoming), not far from shops and restaurants. There is a waterfall not far from the grounds which i recommend visiting, park nearby as well a horse riding centers. Would definitely recommend this cottage and will be hoping to visit again!
