The Island View Lodge is located on a beautiful piece of property on a peninsula on Catfish Lake. It has an excellent boat dock and separate swimming beach. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The customer service of the Conger group was outstanding. We had some issues upon our arrival and they immediately responded to correct them. We had 3 separate families (11 people total) staying in the cottage. It easily handled this number of people and was big enough to allow for privacy when needed. It more then exceeded our expectations.

Phone service and booking was the best I've had. Very friendly, professional staff answered all of your questions. The cabin layout is beautiful and it's kept very clean. A very relaxing atmosphere. You get a beautiful peninsula all to yourself, which was outstanding. Caught a fish off the like-new dock. The dock was fantastic for our boat. The large living room and fireplace was awesome. The gas grille on the deck was a very nice touch. I've never seen a grill that clean in my 47 year life. We really enjoyed a steak dinner on the one night that it didn't rain on us.
Constructive criticism is very picky: No creatures inside--don't misunderstand--there were never any creatures inside, ever! The place was airtight and perfectly free of any critters or bugs. But if you are a very light sleeper you won't be able to sleep on the upper floor. Mice ran on the rooftop the entire night, every night, without a break. Vacating to the lower level didn't work the best either. There is a a bit of a musty smell in the lower level that made the space a bit unpleasant, especially to sleep in--since we had a great deal of rain prior to and during our stay, this could have easily been weather related.
If you plan to sleep on the main level, I can almost guarantee that you'll love your stay. It's a very special place indeed.

Myself, my husband, our 1 year old son and some friends, stayed at Island View Lodge in May. The lodge had plenty of space for all of us, was very clean and very organized. During the day the beach, water (nice sandy bottom), swingset and pontoon boat entertained all. At night the campfire pit was a favorite. Everything was very accessible and well laid out. I would recommend the Island View to anyone vacationing in the Eagle River area.
