Additional Location Information

The cottage is located 2km from the village of Manciet with it's acclaimed Michelin starred restaurant "La Bonne Auberge", and 900m from the Santiago de Compostella pilgrim's route taking walkers all the way to Spain. Completely surrounded by fields, vines and woodland, the property is an excellent base for cycling and hiking - exploring the many historic sites, lakes and pretty villages of the area. Further afield, the Atlantic coast with its famous surfing beaches, the Pyrenees and the Spanish border are all within a 2 hour drive.

The airports of Toulouse (90 minutes) and Bordeaux (120 minutes), will connect travellers to Paris, the UK or beyond and both airports have many car hire companies to choose from. A car is essential here - whilst there is some public transport, it's very infrequent. The cottage is located 10kms from the busy town of Nogaro where a wide choice of bars, restaurants, shops and a small market can be found. 10kms in the opposite, the bustling market town of Eauze, home to the ancient Roman town Elusa (many artefacts on display in the town's museum), again offers many opportunities for sitting in a sun-dappled square, drinking coffee or a cold beer, simply watching the world go by.
