Additional Location Information

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a private residential apartment block on Abbey Lane. The apartment block has a lift and a secure car park on the ground floor (car park gate is operated by electronic remote key).

This apartment is just east of Edinburgh's city centre, and has a great view southeast to Edinburgh's highest point - Arthur's Seat.
You will be just a short walk from the Royal Mile and the Old Town as it is only 10 mins walk to Holyrood Palace, The Queen's Gallery, Our Dynamic Earth, the new Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Park.

Arthur's Seat can be hiked up in around 45 minutes for fabulous views from the top. More good views and exercise come from the easier walk up Radical Road, which is a path running just below the Salisbury Crags (the hill in front of Arthur's Seat).

A smaller, gentler walk is up to Calton Hill, close to Princes Street, and this has great views over the city-centre and the River Forth.

There are local shops and a cafe/bar around the corner from the apartment; a Sainsbury's supermarket and a TSB bank nearby; and 5 minutes on the bus will take you to the Playhouse theatre, the Vue (Omni) cinema, and a huge choice of restaurants, cafes, bars.
Scotland's People is a "family history" centre located in Register House at the east end of Princes Street - just 10 minutes on the bus or 20 minutes walk.

Waverley Rail Station and Princes Street are 5-10 minutes by bus, and you can connect up with the tram and bus routes to the airport.
