Located right at the west end with Edinburghs main street Princes Street a pleasant 10 minute walk away this apartment is in a great location. Whether arriving by train plane or automobile it is all so easy at this location. Bars, restaurants, shops are all on your doorstep.
You will arrive in Edinburgh and locate our apartment from the detailed arrival instructions we have sent to you where you will be met at our apartment by a member of staff. This apartment is on the first floor and shares the stair with only one other apartment (another one of our holiday apartments). As you enter the apartment you will find the hallway opening into the open plan lounge/dining and kitchen area . There is tea, coffee and sugar as well as a pint of milk in the fridge for you so you once our member of staff has showed you around the apartment you can just put your feet up and relax before deciding what to do during your stay.
You can sink into the comfortable settees in the lounge and catch up on events on the 42 inch plasma screen TV and if you have brought your laptop you will be able to use the free and unlimited wi fi broadband to surf the web or maybe you would just prefer to relax with some music from the cd player which has an MP3 jack and can be piped into the bedrooms as well as the main lounge area. The lights are dimmable so you can create a warm and relaxing atmosphere with full control over the gas central heating system. The apartment was fully insulated a few years ago so in winter it is nice and warm and in summer it is nice and cool. As extra back up you will find desk fans in the unlikely event that the Scottish summer is too hot and blow heaters to supplement the central heating although we don't think anyone has ever used them.
The dining area links the lounge and kitchen areas and you will find a dining table that comfortably seats 6 people. Your guests can watch as you prepare the greatest of dinners from our fully equipped kitchen. There is a fridge, electric oven, electric ceramic hob (fast heat), washing machine and the all important dishwasher because you don't want spend your holiday doing dishes. There is a great supply of cutlery, crockery, Jamie Oliver pans, utensils and one of our guests commented "hey what happened to the push button espresso machine - a joke - totally a joke- this apartment provided everything we could have asked for and more". In fact if there is a cooking item that we don't have then just let us know and we will go and get it. We even have a spice wheel with loads of spices on hand. For your ingredients there is a supermarket within 200 metres or a convenience store right across the road. Hey there is even a Thai supermarket a few doors up so lots to choose from.
A good nights rest is assured in our bedrooms with our orthopaedic mattresses, cool Egyptian cotton bedding and double glazing. Each bedroom has a built in wardrobe meaning there is lots of space for even the most demanding fashionista. You will also find an ironing board, iron and hairdryer in each room so you don't have to wait for others to get ready. The main bedroom is set up as a standard double and the other 2 bedrooms are set up as twin rooms.
Something very important but that you may not have thought about is having more than one bathroom when sharing an apartment between six people. This apartment has a main bathroom as well as an additional shower room. The main bathroom has a bath, over bath Mira 9.5 kw shower, w.c and wash hand basin as well as a shaver point. The shower room has a power shower with 1400mm shower tray (larger than normal) as well as a w.c and wash hand basin. If required this shower room can actually be used as an ensuite as it can be closed off from the main lounge area.
Throughout the apartment you will find high quality finishes with solid walnut flooring, 100% wool carpets, stainless steel appliances etc etc.
In summary this apartment has been designed for guests who want to be able to get here easily, have all the comforts of home but also to know that they can get out and around Edinburgh very easily and also have everything that they need for everyday living right on their doorstep.

The service was excellent. Although a little hard to find, we were greeted at the apartment by the owner who took all 5 cases up the stairs for us then took us to the car park to get our car parked for the weekend. The location is perfect for the west end of the city. The apartment was clean and modern with three good sized bedrooms. The hamper of goodies in the kitchen was a lovely touch.

Ignore the look of the area, this apartment was lovely and very functional on the inside. It's very well appointed, and is located only about a 10 minute walk from Prince's Street and all the attractions central Edinburgh has to offer. Amazing how the owners have managed to get so much apartment into such a small space, easily enough space for 6 in bedrooms, and we noticed the sofa converts into a double bed too. A great assortment of bars, restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance. Tram works currently being carried out, but we could see the advantages it will offer this apartment on completion. Only 3 little niggles for us were: the car parking, although if you accept it's a city centre and it will cost you the thick end of £90 per car (we had 2!)to park for the week, the car park is easily accessible and only a 5 minute walk; the constant bus traffic outside the front windows, but we kept the front windows closed and used the fans provided (it was summer and very hot!); no freezer compartment in the fridge, so we arrived having done a big shop for the week and were forced to use everything quickly (would have been good to know this beforehand!). All in all, we would thoroughly recommend this apartment as a relaxing haven at the end of a long day of sightseeing, shopping, or whatever it is you come for!

the overall experience - from booking and arranging for private and very affordable parking, arrival and the stay in the apartment was very enjoyable. i will certainly consider this apartment again in the future if i ever have to travel to edinburgh again!

This wasn't a particularly pleasant area when I was growing up so it was wonderful to experience all that the area has to offer now and to have such easy access by bus and on foot to so many parts of the city.
The old tenement building has been refurbished and upgraded to provide modern and elegant accommodation, with clever use of space.
Three adults and two children loved our stay there. Thank you.

We had a great experience at this apartment. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of room for privacy. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was great to have a kitchen and a large table for meals. The location is about 15mins walk into Edinburgh which was fine. On our last day, our flight home was late at night, and we were able to leave our luggage at the apartment until 6pm, which was very accommodating. Great stay!!

Was a really nice place to stay, enough room for the 6 of us and we didnt get under each others feet.
Location wise - great for haymarket and a short walk from Princes Street.
Only downside of the apartment was the outside noise of the road but there is nothing that can be done about that!
overall tho - it was a great place to stay and great value for money

Suzanne was excellent when we checked in and also helping us with our requirements afterwards. I was a bit dismayed when I first arrived at the apartment and saw the location in a busy street. But was happier when we saw inside and seen it was very comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed our time there.

This is a beautiful apartment with all mod cons and very comfortable bedrooms. Everything is provided and the location is excellent as well. There's plenty of shops within walking distance, including a supermarket and it's only a few minutes walk to Princes Street. There's some lovely restaurants within easy walking distance as well. Great for a long weekend and an excellent base from which to explore the city.

We were greeted by the manager on arrival. He settled us in and made sure we
were comfortable, and set for a good New Years Eve re location, what was
happening,shopping and local eateries etc. The apartment was very
comfortable , in a great location and noise and hassle free.
We were in Edinburgh for the Hogmanay experience so couldn't have found a
more suitable place for our stay, for ourselves and 3 big kids (17-21).
We were within walking distance of The Royal Mile, close to public transport
and with 'our local' just down the road.
We would not hesitate to contact Edinburgh Apartments for future stays.

We were very impressed with the location and the apartment itself. It was clean and well stocked with utensils and kitchen appliances. It is a great find for families with older children or babies. Our children ranged from 3 years to 9 years and the only problem we had was that it had no garden and as everything closes around 6ish our kids were a little bored early evening.
The main road is also quite noisy in the early morning with people leaving bars but can only be heard when the windows are open.
We felt that Stephen from Edinburgh Apartments was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely a great find and I would recommend it without hesitation.

The apartment is perfect,comfy, big (3 bedrooms, two baths, huge living room and well-equipped kitchen) with everything you may need, ncluding plenty of information about the city, visiting around... The free wifi is also very useful.
The situation is perfect, only a short walk to the city center and very close to the train station, food stores, shop, pubs...
The owner is nice and was very helpful.
We don't know if we will be visit again Edinburgh but be sure we will be back to this great apartments.
