I am not the type to usually write reviews, but on returning from a special Mother's Day weekend at this apartment I need to make an exception. Not only is the location better than any of Edinburgh's top hotels, the quality of the decor, size and amenities provided are superb. Think old glamour, high ceilings, enormous comfy beds and original shutters to help you get a great night's sleep whilst still being in the thick if it on The Royal Mile. Lots of great bars and restaurants literally on the doorstep, or all the comforts of home if you fancy a night in. We have had a fabulous weekend - I couldn't recommend this apartment enough if you want to visit Edinburgh.

I felt like a movie star staying in this apartment - truly - I must have said that every day to my husband and daughter. If I could move in, I would. The decor was so tasteful and the high ceilings and windows were amazing - very comfortable seating in the living room, beds were fantastic. We loved having all of the activity and excitement right outside our window, and every late afternoon before going out for dinner, we threw open the windows to watch the shows right on the street below. The apartment was very quiet during sleeping hours. We walked everywhere. I would not hesitate to book again for our next trip - my teenage daughter (i.e. hard to please) well - this was her favorite city and place that we stayed during out 2 weeks touring England and Scotland. Book this place and do not hesitate!

We were very happy with this vacation rental, location is wonderful, very central
to major sites. Apartment is extermely well equiped and very comfortable, also beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the fireplace every evening. Our only negitive was that because of the central location it can be very noisy in the evening. Although the benefit of the same is that we were able to view very entertaining street performers right from our windows.
Also attention to our stay was excellent. We had a small problem with an electrical issue and our contract answered our call immediately and the problem was fixed immediately as well.

Everything about this flat was terrific. Furnishings were upscale; bed was a little hard, so we slept on top of the duvet. Central heat and thermostat made it easy to control temperature to our needs. Location was great--on the Royal Mile, so central to tourist sites, University of Edinburgh, Princes Street. Kitchen was well furnished to cook a large meal. Management was professional and prompt. This was a great place for a long weekend.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful, spacious apartment. It was extremely clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped with, dishwasher, washing machine, dishes etc. The location was perfect for exploring Old Town Edinburgh ...just a short walk from the Castle and Waverley Station. Pubs, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions were all easily accessible. We were impressed with the young lady who greeted us upon our arrival. She escorted us to the apartment and thoroughly explained how everything worked. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone. The only downside for us was having to leave it.

We spent 4weeks in Edinburgh and our stay at 1/10 Parliament Square was perfect for us
The location,Location,Location made it for us
The apartment is beautifull, big and spacious,we were only 2 staying but the 2 bedroom would cover 4 guests easy
The windows are big and look out onto the Royal Mile, where there is always something going on
We were able to walk everywhere, for groceries down on Princes Street at the Marks and Spencers food court and the local Tesco Express on the South Bridge, just a short walk away
The university is near by,this will mean the Royal Mile is lively on the weekend, not a problem for us!! It is where everything is happening, the street is closed to vehicle traffic most of the day, and the tourists are enjoying this great city!!
So convenient a location,we were in and out ,when ever the need arose
Waverley Station is a walk away and we used the train for 3 different trips up to Mallaig,to Inverness,Aberdeen and to Glasgow,Paisley area
First time using the Scottish rail, pleasant and easy
We used the city bus many times to get further out,and were very pleased at the convenience, again with the location!!!
Lots of walking,Edinburgh is steep climbing sometimes "but" worth the effort
We are not young!!(70 and 68)but managed just fine
We were more than happy with the arrangements,Dave Stewart met us a bit earlier than check in time, which was great after a long flight from Canada, always helpfull and a friendly "hello"!
Glenn Ford, from the time of booking(1st for me)was always great
all transactions went smoothly
The apartment is as advertised,no unpleasant surprises, everything was just great!!!
We are home now and as our first "selfcatering.co.uk "experience went so well,we will be telling our friends, without hesitation what a great convenience it is!!
Edinburgh is a great city, not to be missed!!
Thanks again to all involved in our comfortable stay at 1/10 Parliament Square

The whole process to book, pay, supply deposit was very smooth and when I called as we left the airport, they were just setting off to meet us at the apartment.
We were shown around the apartment when we arrived and then left alone.
Apartment is beautiful. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and crockery.
The location is amazing. We were here for the fringe and the apartment overlooks the High Street, so you are right at the heart of it!
The perfect home away from home to discover Edinburgh!

Nice and easy correspondence via email. Glenn thank you. Very nice welcome and great assistance from Dave, who had to let us into the apartment in the middle of the night due to late arrival. Very very friendly and charming.
The appartment is stunning. We absolutely loved it. Great decor, cozy and yet spacious at the same time. Well equipped Kitchen, extremely comfy beds, nice bathroom. The living room was so nice that we even had friends (staying at hotels) come over for drinks before going out to dinner.
And then there is the location. Close to everything. We walked everywhere. Just perfect to explore the city. Castle, museums, restaurants, bars, groceries within a 0 to 10 min radius. Very convenient especially if your are traveling with an infant who may need a nap at noon. No problem . Wherever you are, you just walk back to the apartment and rest. Cause it's always just a short walk away. We only had four days but due to the location of the appartment we were able to enjoy the city to the fullest. We can absolutely recommend this appartment and will come back for sure.

Spectacular location and apartment for visiting Edinburgh. On arrival we were met by Dave who gave us all the necessary information to fully enjoy the features of the apartment including directions to the nearest markets.
The location is right on the Royal Mile which is a heavily traveled street, however we were never disturbed by any noise from below. Just close those thick, heavy shutters for total privacy, night or day. Comfortable and very clean. Very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary utensils and cookware to meet any requirement. Very comfortable beds and living room furniture. Flat panel TV and working fireplace for those damp Scottish nights when we wanted to stay inside and relax after a long day of sightseeing.
The location was only a few blocks from the Castle in one direction and the Holyrood Palace was a reasonable walk in the other. Centrally located we were able to walk to most all of the sights we wanted to see. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby including right down the alley that runs below the apartment.
Great accommodation for a visit to Edinburgh and we highly recommend it. Just remember that there is no elevator and only one bathroom. But for the two of us it was absolutely perfect and we highly recommend it.

Second time we have have rented a flat through this management team and this one was just as nice, if not a bit nicer, as the first. The location could not be surpassed, as the windows look over the High Street and you "neighbor" is St Giles Cathedral. The living room is very spacious and comfortable (two couches and two armchairs) as are the two bedrooms.
It was just so nice to come back to this wonderful flat after a long day of walking the city and be able to have an oasis. Plus there's the bonus of a Caffe Nero just downstairs to grab a cappuccino. We cannot recommend this flat highly enough, we will be back...
Luxurious and extremely spacious comfortable accomadation.

We don't ever want to stay in hotels again, staying in this beautifully styled and amazingly well equipped apartment was simply amazing, it is immaculate, the beds offered the best nights sleep imaginable with beautifully fresh bed linen and the spacious yet warm atmosphere is most welcoming. On previous visits to Edinburgh we had stayed at The Scotsman which was wonderful but we are now converted to self catering. It should be noted that there is only one bathroom where the only toilet is located but that should not deter you from booking this centrally located paradise.

The address tells it's own story with this apartment as the central location provides the perfect launchpad to explore the city. Any visitors are perfectly placed for spending time in central Edinburgh.
Four of us stayed here in great comfort during the Edinburgh Fringe 2012 and we found the value excellent when compared against the city's hotel prices. The experience was wholly positive. The large windows throughout made it for me. A spacious, light, classy apartment in a fantastic location. The only possible drawback I can think of for certain travellers is the one bathroom. However, the overall comfort experience remains excellent.
This apartment comes highly recommended.

This apartment was the perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. The owners clearly take great care to make sure the flat is as welcoming and well maintained as possible so it really feels like a home away from home. The position on the Royal mile couldn't be better as you can walk to anywhere in Edinburgh from here. I can't recommend it highly enough.
