Description

This beautiful penthouse apartment with 3 bedroom and wrap around roof terrace offers breath taking views towards Arthurs seat and Edinburgh Castle in one direction and the harbour and sea beyond in the other direction. The apartment is within a few minutes walk of Ocean Terminal where you will find the Royal Yacht Britiana and its visitor centre. The Terminal also offers a multi-screen cinema and a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants . Leith has its own character and is well worth exploring in its own right , the original harbour dates back to the 14 century and offers a wonderful selection of lively restaurants and bars as well as independent shops, delis and contemporary art galleries. The Leith festival in June is always worth a visit.

When you are ready to move on and explore Edinburgh, you can either take on of Edinburgh's frequent and reliable buses and be in the city centre in 20 minutes, or you can take a leisurely walk along the mile long Leith Walk to the east end of Princes Street.

The apartment, situated on the 6th floor of the apartment block and sleeping up to 6 guests offers brilliant family accommodation. It can be accessed via a secure lift requiring key access. The door to the apartment opens into a large bright hall way off which all the rooms radiate.

A beautiful open plan living, dining, kitchen with access to the roof terrace and fantastic views over the city provides plenty of space for guests to relax, prepare a meal and to eat. The living area is furnished with comfortable stylish leather sofas and chairs and well designed modern wooden furniture, there is a TV with DVD player and free WiFi available for guests. The dining area has a large wooden dining table with seating for 6 guests and the well equipped kitchen area has a breakfast bar with 2 stools. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob with extractor hood and a double electric oven, a microwave, fridge freezer , washer drier, toaster and a kettle. There is plenty of crockery, glass, cutlery and cookware available for guests who would like to cook in the apartment.

The master bedroom with ensuite bathroom (providing bath, shower over, basin and toilet) also has access to the wraparound roof terrace. The room is furnished with a king sized bed, and has ample wardrobe space.

A second double bedroom also has an ensuite shower room with shower, basin and toilet. This room is furnished with a double bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and occasional chair. A French door opens onto the roof terrace.

The third bedroom has bunk beds, a small double with single over it and a chest of drawers; it would make an ideal bedroom for children.

A third family shower room with shower, toilet and basin completes the accommodation.

On street parking is free around the apartment.

Response from the manager I am sorry that Michael was so disatisfied with his stay in our apartment. Most our guests have very much enjoyed staying in this beautiful property, but sadly we don't seem to have been able to make him happy. We do like to meet all guests who arrive during normal check in hours, however Michael asked for an early check in, we were delighted to help him out, but were unable to meet him at 8am, as we don't have staff working at this time. We provided him with a starter pack of 6 toilet rolls, as well as six extra rolls at the midstay clean when we also provided him with clean towels and bed linen. We make sure that there is tea coffee, and sugar in the apartment, I wonder whether Michael would have been happier in a serviced apartment rather than a self catering property.
