5BR / 2.5BA (2K, 2S, 2 Triple Bunks) - Sleeps 12 - Great beachfront location, outstanding ocean views from the wall of glass in the Great Room. 4 Bedrooms upstairs with the 5th downstairs(o/s entrance). The main entrance is from the Palmetto Blvd side of the house. You have a large open sundeck on the street side, along with another large sundeck on the beachside. The main level of this home has a central living, dining, kitchen combination. There are sliders across the beachside wall that leads to the sundeck. Views!!!! There are 2 bedrooms and a full hall bath (tub/shower combo) on each side of the house. The two beachfront bedrooms each have a king size bed.(only one with TV). Both have wonderful ocean views and open out onto the sundeck. Both street side bedrooms have triple bunk beds(with a TV in both rooms). The house has central HVAC along with window a/c's to make sure you stay nice a cool during the summer. Downstairs is the fifth bedroom(separate entrance) with 2 twin beds and a 1/2 bath. There are also 2 enclosed outside showers under the house. This is a bright, sunny property only steps from the beach! Come enjoy this home for your next Edisto Beach vacation.

Response from the manager Please know that Edisto Realty appreciates your business and are sorry that you felt the owners of this property have not made necessary maintenance repairs and upgrades. This property is also on a pest control service contract with a local exterminating company and they were notified and sprayed the property during your stay. Any time a maintenance situation is reported we take care of the situation as quickly as they can, with the least interference with a guest’s stay. The owner placed the window units in the bedrooms to boost the central HVAC when a guest complained that the bedrooms were warmer than the rest of the house.

The goal for our business has always been to ensure all guests enjoy their Edisto vacations so we sincerely regret the experience you had. Bed bugs have become an increasing problem nationwide and unfortunately Edisto is no different. Each case is handled as quickly as possible, and in a manner that is least obtrusive to our guest. Unfortunately since our Office was closed for a few days over the Christmas holiday, and our normal support staff (pest control, housekeepers & maintenance workers) were not available you did not receive the normal service that would have been provided any other time of the year. Again, we regret that you were inconvenienced and wish you would consider another visit so you can experience an Edisto vacation with normal expectations. We truly value our customers.

Response from the manager Thank you for your comments. This is an older home that is being upgraded in stages by the owners. I will be sure to pass along your comments to them. Most of the homes on Edisto that have a single bedroom downstairs has been there since the house was built. We always point out in the descriptions that the rooms are separate and must be entered from the outside. As in most coastal areas, palmetto bugs are very common and we would have been glad to have the exterior of the home sprayed. These type of pests live outside and only come indoors when looking for water or trying to get away from too much rain. The most important part of a family vacation is the time spent together - create memories - and to make plans to be get together soon. Please think of Edisto Realty for your next Edisto vacation.
