Welcome to San Russ Point on Edisto Island! 40 Acres of Water Front - One of a kind experience! Located on a peninsula between Sand Creek and Russell Creek, this property enjoys wonderful breezes found because the property juts out into the water. You can see for miles over open water and marsh to the intercostal waterway which goes to the ocean. We have a deepwater dock, boat ramp and great fishing. The property'a 40-acres and is only shared by our other house. You will love this beautiful, isolated and natural location. No roads except our private road on which you will only see a few houses for the first mile.
Bird watchers will enjoy watching birds such as bald eagles, woodstorks (only in spring), woodpeckers, as well as a countless number of water birds. Anglers can catch a variety of fish right off our dock, take their boats or use the two fishing kayaks (that come with the house) to enjoy some of the finest fishing on Edisto Island. We have had success with pink jigs and live bait (although fishing varies by season and tides), you can use a minnow trap or shrimp net to catch live bait). You will see dolphins swimming down Russell Creek and can explore using our kayaks to paddle though small inlets that leads into the marsh. Adults and Kids both enjoy catching crabs of the dock (long season) - you are welcome to use our crab traps or use a string and weight. You may enjoy driving the house's golf cart down over the property or take a the four bikes down the road to explore further.
We enjoy our property more than a typical beach vacation because of the beauty and unique nature and beauty of the Low Country's rich tidal creeks and marshes, as well as easy access by car to Edisto's historic landmarks and activities. It is a short highway drive of 12 miles to Edisto Beach down highway 174 - enjoy a picnic at the state park or spend the day at the 4,360.5 acre Botany Bay Plantation. Motor Boaters enjoy going to remote beaches such as Deveaux Bank or eating lunch at Bohicket Marina which is about 20-minutes away. There is an excellent farmers market close to Russell Creek Road, as well as, a good seafood store to buy shrimp and seafood on Hwy 174. We hear often that our guests mean to visit the many attractions of Edisto Island but have so much fun on the property that they forget to explore!
You will enjoy the four adult beach bikes and using our two kayaks to explore land and sea. It is fun to taking leisurely walks down country roads and forest paths. Alternatively, enjoy relaxing in the sun or shade with a glass of iced tea. If you need something, just call us or our handyman that works on the property three days a week and is generally a quick phone call away.
You will want to spend a lot of time on the property! If you walk a mile up the dirt road, you only see a few houses and lots of nature. As I write this, there are Wood Storks walking near the house and I can see birds flying over the wetlands that stretch as far as the eye can see.
The house is located on a part of Edisto called Little Edisto Island. The Low Property originally resulted from a Lord Proprietor’s grant to Joseph Russell in 1710. Joseph Russell received the 570-acre grant for the eastern section of little Edisto (the difference in size between the grant and the Endless Views is mainly attributed to the fact that we do not include the vast marshlands when we state our land size as 40 acres) In the 1700s it was called the Ash Plantation because of a large plantation that grew mainly rice in the marshlands. Endless Views is the Eastern half of Little Edisto Island which is between Russell and Sand Creek (7604 Russell Creek Road, 29438 for Google Maps satellite view).
San Russ Point gives you access to the best of the South Carolina Low Country. Local attractions include historic churches and plantations; Edisto Beach and State Park; Kayak Tours, Fishing Guides, Shrimp boat charters and seasonal treats such as the Edisto Island Serpentarium, Bingo at the Lions Club ( a must for kids), lunch at the Sea Cow, strawberry and blueberry picking (May to early July near to Edisto); walking the ACE Basin; Cypress Gardens; and of course, the beautiful town of Charleston.
Even though there are fun restaurants on the island but for most meals, we prefer buy or catch fresh seafood and buying or picking vegetables to cook for ourselves. We especially like to eat the fresh crab that we catch off the dock and the fish we catch in the creeks. There is an excellent golf course on the Island, which will satisfy the most discriminating golfer.

This property was everything we had hoped for. We came with 3 little girls ages 5 to 8 and they had a blast.
The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly. Our girls all cried when we had to leave. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. We went crabbing off of the dock and fishing. Collected oysters and clams for meals and they even allowed us to use a couple fish tanks for the girls to watch the wild life we found for a little bit.
The house set up is great for families as the main living building is separated from the bed rooms by short walk ways... We could put the kids to bed and then have adult time playing games and chatting in the main living area.
The trampoline is in great condition and the girls loved it as well as the Zip line.
If you want to get away from crowds... want to feel safe and secure with your children... want to relax and enjoy beautiful views this is the place for you.
Though the beaches are plenty close we only spent 6 hours total there because there was so much to do and experience on the property.
I just want to again extend our sincerest gratitude to the owners of this place.

We had a great stay at this house. It is located at the end of a dirt road so there is lots of privacy and wildlife. The owners live down there too but this was not a problem. The dock was great, the water is amazing, the views are beautiful and extensive. There is a hottub on the deck and everything you need in the house. The house is set up with 3 pods connected by decks so the masterbedroom is its own little oasis. TV, internet, linens, cleanliness, it was all great. Edisto Beach is down the road about 20minutes and it is a lovely beach with lots of shells. Of course, if you bring your boat you can go to secluded beaches on your own. They say the fishing is really good too but we did not try this. Overall, it is a great spot to get away. If you like lots of arcades or restaurants this is not the place for you. But if you want idealic views and relaxation this is the place.
