“We came, we stayed and we didn't want to leave "Come On Inn"”
We chose well when we rented from Denice and Ken for our annual Memorial Day Weekend vacation. We area seasoned Door County visitors and found the overall charm of Come On Inn and the incredible lake views EXACTLY as described and shown in the website photographs. The beach and lake side fire-pit were the big reason we chose this property. They were only steps away and perfect for evening sunsets, star gazing, conversation and morning coffee (unless the gnats forced us inside to enjoy the views from the screened porch). The bedrooms were spacious with large comfy beds, great views & lots of windows. The kitchen & living spaces were perfectly situated and great for gathering & conversation. Everything we needed for our stay was considered - even a welcoming bottle of wine on the foyer table! Denice was quick to reply to our inquiries and addressed any questions or concerns. Her attention to detail was obvious and while the rental contract and posted notes were at first intimidating, we soon realized she and Ken had our best interest at heart and made our stay as easy as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Come On Inn and were privileged to call it home for four days. We will definitely be back and encourage you to stay here the next time you're vacating in Door Co. (unless of course we're renting Come On Inn!)

“Home Sweet Vacation Home!”
Our family of 2 parents and 4 adult children desperately needed some relaxing family time. We enjoyed the many things to do in Door County, but the very best part of our trip was staying at Come On Inn. It was a warm, comfortable and welcoming refuge. The house is beautiful and has all the comforts of home! Everything was spotless, convenient, and we had plenty of room. The family room was comfy and attractive, with a beautiful stone fireplace, and a window seat with a great view of the water. We spent a lot of time in that room, just relaxing, watching movies, and also playing games which were provided. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare and cook food. The bedrooms were spacious and convenient to the bathrooms. The location of the house was perfect - close to town, but located in a quiet wooded area. The directions and instructions gave us all the information we needed, and there was a lot of information about the Door County area available to us. The best part about the Come On Inn was the fact that it really felt like a "home". We didn't want to leave! The owners really know how to do it right! We look forward to staying there again.

We are very happy to read your family found our home comfortable and cozy. We enjoy our home the same way you described doing so with your own family....hanging in the family room playing games, reading, watching TV and best of all watching the sun set over the bay from our living room. Your family is always welcome in our home and we look forward to your return in the future.
Denice is by far one of the most pleasant and informative people I have ever had the pleasure of renting from (and I have rented from many). Come On Inn is everything she described it to be and so much more! If you want to get away from it all and recharge in a beautiful and stunning setting this is the place! Fires on the beach at night with friends, gazing at the stars, priceless!

I'm so happy to read you had a great time in our home. We finally have begun renovations to the beach area and have lovely stone steps leading you down to the beach area. I look forward to your return and appreciate you taking the time to write a review.
“Relaxing at Come On Inn is what the doctor would order, if he ju”
This place is perfect. Denice has covered all the bases, so there is no need to guess about anything. The house is beautiful and was spotless when we arrived. This was a 50th anniversary celebration for my husband and I, so we brought the family to Door County, where we had never been before. The house accommodated us very well. as there were 7 of us. We experienced a hot, humid week while we were there, so we did use the air conditioning the latter part of our stay. The first few nights we were able to open the windows and enjoy listening to the sound of the water washing on the rocks. We used our daytimes for exploring...Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Washington Island. We fished for salmon on Lake Michigan with Lynn, the Fish Doctor and had great luck. We played miniature golf at the Red Putter, ate a wonderful meal (fish boil) at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek. We got cherries and cheese in several places as well as some Door County wine. But best of all, we agreed that sitting on the beach at Come On Inn every evening, watching the beautiful sunsets (all different)and making s'mores was the best of the week. We loved the Peninsula State Park trails, the lighthouse tour, and also the Ghost Trolley tour, but hanging at the house was peaceful, restoring, and brought us closer as family. There us something for everyone to enjoy.

“A perfect place for a quiet and peaceful weekend”
We had a family reunion at the house (6 adults, 2 kids). It was a perfect place for this purpose. A great starting point for a variety of outdoor activities on the beautiful peninsula.
“Door County Winter”
The Come On Inn experience was a perfect get away over the holidays. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful. We couldn't be more pleased.

“Wonderfully Relaxing Family Thanksgiving Holiday Vacation”
Our holiday vacation began late in the evening on our first day so we were not able to experience the beautiful view and surroundings until the next morning. We awoke in our downstairs bedroom which overlooked Green Bay. The light waves were breaking against the cobblestone beach front. All the rooms allowed for a beautiful view of your surroundings. An especially lovely area was above the upstairs bedroom that in the summertime would allow you to experience a cozy sitting area overlooking the Bay and a beautiful view of the sunset and the beautiful starlit sky. Another lovey feature is the wood burning fireplace where we spent every evening playing games, watching movies and roaring fires until late in the evening. The location on the peninsula was well situated and all the roads were well maintained. One last memory was the wonderful people of Wisconsin we met. Can't wait to come back and experience all the season.
Response from the owner, Denice Reda Hubbard - 11/29/2012
It was a pleasure to share my home with your family and I look forward to your return to the peninsula and Come On Inn in the future. I'm happy that your family had a peaceful and festive Thanksgiving at my home.
“There's No Place Like This Home”
4 of us decided on a late fall trip to Door County fairly late in the season, and scrambled to find a place that met all our requirements. We discovered Come on Inn, and it looked almost too good to be true. We contacted the owner, Denice, who responded the same afternoon to confirm the dates were available. Reservations and completing the necessary rental agreement couldn't have been easier. Denice provided a wonderful welcome packet that thoroughly explained the check-in process, as well as suggestions for shopping, dining, and activities. We arrived for our 4-night stay just as Hurricane Sandy was winding down, and got to enjoy plenty of wave action from the get-go. In relation to the house itself, the pictures provided on the website do not begin to do it justice. From the windows on the bay side of the house, it seems you could reach out and touch the water. Virtually every window in the house has a view of the water or woods, and it's clear the property was situated to best take advantage of the views while blending in with nature's landscape. In terms of the amenities, there is everything almost anyone could need. There are multiple sets of dishes, cutlery, cookie sheets, baking dishes, bowls, you name it, and it's there. Have you ever struggled to find a wine bottle opener in a rental home and ended up having to go buy one? That won't happen here. The bedrooms are situated perfectly, and most have a television/DVD player. There are also two screened porch areas, one at the very top of the house above the two bedrooms upstairs. Too cold this trip to spend much time in them, but wonderful spots. A beautiful wood burning fireplace in the living room provided the perfect ambiance and warmth while the first of the season's snowflakes appeared seemingly out of nowhere. We found the location to be perfect-not too far from Sturgeon Bay, yet secluded enough to feel way-out. Modern amenities, yet perfectly blended with nature. You can't ask for much more.
Response from the owner, Denice Reda Hubbard - 11/07/2012
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to the peninsula and that you appreciated the home layout and amenities. I hope one day you will return when the yards are in full bloom and everything is green and lush. I know you would love it! You are always welcome in my home and I look forward to your return.
“A wilderness oasis!!”
Directions to the home were very simple to follow. The home is so beautiful inside and out. Lots of windows with woods and water views! The home is so well equipped that we virtually only needed to bring our clothing. We did not have any children with us but there is a swing set and a play area on the beach for children. It is a short walk to the beach and there is a wonderful firepit there to have a bonfire. The beds were very comfortable (2 kings and 2 queens). The house is spacious so there is plenty of room for a group. We were very impressed with the location and home and cannot wait to go back for another visit!
Response from the owner, Denice Reda Hubbard - 10/24/2012
I look forward to your return visit to my home. All four seasons have something different to offer you too! I'm delighted you enjoyed my home and your visit to the lovely Door County Peninsula.
