Left on Jul 20, 2012 for a stay in July 2012

Only issue was that one day we had great difficulty getting back to the property because of severe flooding in alnwick -- but that was hardly the fault of the owners! And we had a power cut for 24 hours, but luckily it was light till late and we discovered we could heat water on the woodburning stove. Also owners provided candles.

Ideal cottage for a couple

Left on Oct 06, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Lovely cottage, perfect size for two people. We also had our baby daughter & dog with us, & there was still plenty of space. Washer & dryer great for baby too.
Only downside was cottage right on the main road. The noise wasn't too bad but was noticeable.
Also, logs & coal provided for log burner but no kindling making lighting it tricky.

Left on May 15, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

My wife and I stayed at 'Poppy's' recently, it is like a home from home, with cleanliness and practicality as standard, we loved the area and the proximity to Morpeth, Alnwick and the spectacular Northumberland coastline. We will definitely be returning!!! An example to others!!

Lovely cosy cabin. It catered for our needs and that of our dog who was made to feel welcome. Ideally situated for lovely walks in the Northumberland countryside and coast. A fabulous setting to relax after the dresses of Christmas and new year.
