Five historic log cabins “rescued” and put together to make a Montana lodge.
Three bedrooms each with its own attached bath, private entrance and porch.
On five private acres with fabulous mountain views.
Busby Lane Cabin offers wireless internet and satellite TV.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The owner, a talented local craftsman, is a collector of historic cabins. Busby Lane Cabin is actually five of them, beautifully pieced together to make one very comfortable three bedroom lodge. Set on a quiet dead-end lane near the base of the Absaroka Mountains, it’s a great place to get away from everything, while still close to fishing, hiking, Chico Hot Springs, and local restaurants.
BEDROOMS AND BATHS: The cabin has three bedrooms, each with a private bath, its own entrance from the yard and a private porch, perfect for morning coffee or for a quiet read in the afternoon. Two of the bedrooms have both a queen and a double bed in them. The third has a queen and a twin size bed. The three en-suite baths each have a tub and shower. There’s additional sleeping space on a double size fold out in the family room. There is also a half bath in the hall between the great room and the family room.
KITCHEN: The nice kitchen has everything you’ll need to make this place your own. There’s an electric range, microwave, dishwasher, and cool cement countertops. There is a bar counter for chatting with the cook. There is also a gas barbecue grill in the back yard for your outdoor grilling.
DINING AREA: There’s a dining table that will seat eight comfortably. Just a few feet away is the kitchen bar which seats two. In the yard is a picnic table.
LIVING ROOM: The living room is very inviting with comfortable seating, a woodstove, and views out to the amazing mountain peaks. With log walls and lots of wood detail it has a great rustic, campy feel.
FAMILY ROOM: In addition to the living room, the center of the house has a separate family room with TV, CD player, stereo system, and lots of books and games.
SETTING, ACREAGE, AND VIEWS: The home is in five acres of meadow off a quiet country lane. You have incredible long, sweeping views of the Absaroka Mountains in one direction and of the Gallatin Mountains in the other. There are a couple of neighbors in view, but a nice distance away.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES: There is five acres of meadow to enjoy. There’s a picnic table, seating on the front and back porches and on each of the bedroom’s porches. There are benches around a nice fire ring and a gas barbecue grill for your use. There are also Frisbees, horse-shoes, and some clubs in case you’d like to play a bit of “pasture golf.”
ACTIVITIES NEARBY: There’s hiking, soaking at Chico Hot Springs, horseback riding and white water rafting. Fishing access on the Yellowstone River is just a few miles away. You can enjoy private tours of Yellowstone National Park with our sister company, Greater Yellowstone Guides, and the small town of Livingston has great galleries and restaurants.
CLOSEST TOWN AND AIRPORT: It's about 20 miles to Livingston, 45 miles to Bozeman and 55 miles to Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport. Yellowstone Park is about a 45 minute drive.
Additional amenities include: wood stove, considered with approval & fee, 45 minutes to yellowstone park, no air conditioning, washer & dryer, ironing board....Read more

Our group of eight had a wonderful four days at Busby Lane cabin. More room than we knew what to do with. Plenty of space and amenities to allow everyone to either be together or spend some quiet time by themselves. Each bedroom has its own deck...each with an amazing view. Wonderfully equipped with every little thing you might need.

We definitely had our expectations high and were very excited about this place and i can admit that it met all aspects of my expectations. A very serene and pleasant place to stay and enjoy the gorgeous Yellowstone.
We felt completely at home and just wished we could stay a bit longer. The wooden cabins are done very well and the luxury that it offers makes you feel absolutely comfortable. The property is located on a piece of land that is surronded by mountains and we felt completely at peace.
A very serene and pleasant place to stay and enjoy the gorgeous Yellowstone.

Our stay at the Busby Lane Cabin was a great one. Lots of room for the kids to play and I especially liked the separate bedroom for your own privacy. The kids enjoyed the yard and building a snowman. The proximity of Chico Hot Springs and plenty of hills to go sledding were great. It provided a great "home" atmosphere. Fun was had by all.
“Great family home for your stay in Paradise Valley!”

This is a wonderful home, the layout is great for families with kids. Full furnished kitchen - very comfortable. The area is peaceful and close to Chico lodge, and 45min from the park. We stay for a week, drove to the park daily and visited the area around. Hiking near by...close to Livingstone. Enjoyed it very much!!

We loved our time in the Busby Lane cabin. There was plenty of space, and the cabin was very comfortable. We loved the individual porches off each bedroom! The cabin is located in a very peaceful setting with spectacular mountains for a backdrop. Loved it!

Everyone in our family loved the experience of Busby La.
(4 yrs to grandparents) Everything was provided. Just bring clothes and food and the great outdoors is there for the taking.
The cabin is delightful and masterful in planning. Hats off to the owner.
The only thing negative thing is not being able to get in earlier.
Our family traveled from Tx. Wa.& Az. and would do it again.

This clever joining of old log cabins makes for a spacious and light filled home that is elegant without needing to be pretentious. The lines are clean and uncluttered, the authenticity of the old logs is clear yet it feels like a modern home. The views out every window are stunning: we kept changing seats just to experience one more of them. The kitchen is well equipped and great to work in, the neighbors friendly and helpful, the owner a great guy with a great sense of humor and an unprecedented selection of true literature to browse through. We wished we lived here all year long. We loved it.

This cabin has everything. There was nothing left behind as the owners thought about what renters would want at a home away from home. We loved the spaciousness, the separate family room and living room, the layout, etc. I would love to come back.
