Lemon Bay/Stump Pass 1-2 families Boat Dock to Gul
Description from the owner
The Manor House compares to no other house in overall beauty and usefulness.
Huge. This 2500 sf house has room after room and is an excellent platform for two vacationing families, or multi generation gatherings. 2 master bedrooms with king beds. One of the masters has a gorgeous bath and big walk-in closet and a private patio and deck. And the family room with a fold down queen bed/couch and two twin beds that double as couches during the day. Finally, a child's room with two singles near the center of the home
The property is a full acre, with plenty of room and privacy for the whole party.
Ocean. The home is on a lovely 25 acre estuary, right at the entry into Lemon Bay. There are about 250 homes on canals above Manor House, so there is a remarkable and delightful passing of boats going in and out, which makes a dynamic and active picture of the water, dock and waterway that is a relaxing activity unto itself. Just watching the folks from the patio or pool boating by, always waving, passing the house throughout the day and evening is a pleasure.
The immediate basin is, as mentioned, a 10 hectares ( 25 acres ) estuary and is about 3 to 5 feet deep. Excellent for kayaking ( included ) and good for all generations to get in and enjoy together. Even though it is through a bridge access to Lemon Bay (about 300 yards/meters from the houses dock), manatee's, dolphins and rays still come in a peruse around ( mostly in Spring and Fall ). Beautiful mangrove stands make this estuary basin a tropical adventure to explore, and never in deep water.
Now go under the bridge and more advance kayaking or boating begins. Going in to Lemon Bay brings you into active but protected waters. Lemon Bay covers 8 miles long and a mile wide and is water that is from 3 to 6-8 feet deep but with specific waterway cuts as well for larger boats. Beautiful exploring continues and more interaction with wildlife and fishing.
The final journey takes one to Stump Pass, across Lemon Bay. The trek is 2.5 miles, about 4 kilometers from Manor House's dock, and is an intermediate kayak trip which crosses the bay and the active waterway. There are several routes to Stump Pass (see google map at 1683 Manor road, 34223 and small down to take in the bay) and here you access the Gulf of Mexico. At Stump Pass there are beautiful and isolated beachs, where the locals and visitors boat in, anchor and put chairs right in the water, sitting in the warm waters to their waists and enjoying the scenery and happy co-vacationers.
USING the map on Flip Key below, pull the map to scroll to the left and see Gulf Drive on the island. That's the Gulf beyond! Pull the map up and see the opening below and that's Stump Pass.
Wifi is included. There is a set of washer and dryer (washer is different than the pics at this time). A screened in pool (with a child's net available), a private separate office room ( we leave a working printer and some supplies, while they last), living room, 3 bedrooms, a giant den with additional sleeping, a beautiful granite kitchen with premium appliances, excellent AC and room fans everywhere, all on a full acre with the best in privacy and independence of life. Also, very close to shopping, with a grocery store 700 meters away and numerous malls, banking and restaurants in 1/2 mile. Bikes are included.
Manor Road is 2 hours 36 minutes from Orlando, 1 hour 36 minutes from Tampa International Airport, 3 hours 14 minutes from Miami International Airport (nice drive across the everglades), 3 hours 6 minutes from Fort Lauderdale.
Manor Road is a single story and flat home, with a small ( 5 inch ) tip up at the front door or tip down out to the pool lanai. There would be no other obstructions to travel throughout Manor house, once inside. The home is not ADA, and has normal doorway widths. But it does have the privilege of having no interior steps to contend with.
Manor Road is stocked with normal household aids for your vacation, dish and cleaning soaps, laundry soap, shampoo and so forth. Your vacation begins with a stock of towels and sheets and the included washer/dryer will help you keep the household clean and useful. There are dishes and pots to serve two families and the GE refrigerator is the largest possible size for cool drinks and food storage.
There are 3 kayaks, two brand new single seater's with paddles and even a sail to try sailing fun. There is also a 17 foot aluminum canoe, good for multi-person trips. NO powered boating is provided, however rentals are available in Englewood. The Manor has a boat dock to use with a boat/rental boat up to 28 feet. The bridge to Lemon Bay is about 9-12' depending on tides. A public launch is across the same estuary, right there.
There are two new adult and two new children's bikes, and biking is a wonderful way to get to shopping and explore around the area. Some vacationers could kayak to Stump Pass and others could bike there in about 4 miles and join them for picnics or sun lounging together.
For planning purposes, entry is at 3pm and departure at 11am.

We all loved this home; great house, great location. Love the home décor and the separate areas for everyone. We ate outside every night and watched the boats passing. Because we enjoyed the kayaking so much we are looking to purchase some for home. The only confusion we had was with some of the light switches. A gem and we hope to return. Thank you!
I also want to wake the electrician up at 3am every night, and have him come over to explain some of those switch locations again!
I think we will post some " this one does that one over there" notes when we visit ourselves next week
But we are so glad you enjoyed Manor, which is just as special to us. Thank you! David and Eliza

We had a dilemma just before we were scheduled to arrive and David was very accommodating. The house has an unusual layout, but it worked well and has alot of extras to enjoy. The air conditioning stopped working and it was taken care of right away. The pool was nice, but our favorite time was just sitting and enjoying the view. We hope to return again.
