Description

We live on a farm 6 km away from Évora.

This is a family house near which we have a small apartment with 2 bedrooms, a very large sitting room (350m2) a bathroom, a kitchen and a large yard.

We have about one hundred fruit trees, herbs and vegetables which we share with our guests.

We have 5 dogs and some cats, fish, birds and a small playground for kids.

We can afford bicycles and there are possibilities, if booked in advance, to have horses available.

We can also afford breakfast if booked ( 5€ each)

Our swimming pool is very large and it can be used by our guests. Privacy is very important for us , so we only accept one family at a time.

We usually offer a meal to our guests to be taken in the evening, under the stars or near the swimming pool. It is a time when we change ideas about our region. habits, traditions, etc and also recomend the places worth a visit in the region.

“Not dog friendly!”

The location was nice, the accomodation good too and the swimming pool was great! However, this property was advertised as dog friendly and they knew that we had dogs. Upon arrival we were informed that the dogs could not come off their leads at any time and had to remain outdoors...that is the opposite of dog friendly! In a dog friendly hotel the dog is allowed inside the building! We booked this property because of it being dog friendly and giving the dogs the opportunity to have more freedom than living in an apartment. In addition to this, there were several of their dogs chained up or in a cage making more noise than ours did and around 20 cats that provoked our dogs who were tied up. The grandaughter was also throughing puppies and swinging them holding only their fragile leg. I would not recommend World Heritage City Farm to any dog owner.

Response from the owner We were not informed about dogs sleeping in owners bedrooms. We were surprised by 2 big dogs and one small one. The guests didnt pay the daily tax for dogs as it is advertised in our advertisement. We like animals but they are not people so they live outside the house. We have many guests and it is polite not to impose them a house full of dog remainings. After David left we had a team of 2 persons for one day to clean the whole space as it was completely dirty because the dogs WC was all over the space, i mean bedroom, living room and kitchen. The guests that came after David could not find such a mess and the smell was terrible. Our cats and dogs live free when we dont have guests, but we dont impose them to other people as we didnt towards David. It is a matter of respect.
