A four bedroomed stone built mas set in the heart of the old village of Vallabrix and facing south with a walled garden and swimming pool. The private back garden is ideal for sunbathing around the pool (and a little shade can always be found for those who prefer to stay out of the sun). The surrounding countryside laid mostly to vines, fruit trees and asparagus is well served with footpaths for those who enjoy a quiet walk in the country.
Vallabrix, once a fortified village, has an 11th century church and clock tower. There are no shops or bars, the nearest supermarket being a five minute drive away in St. Quentin La Poterie. However a baker's van passes every morning. Local traffic in the village centre is minimal.
The house is built on three floors and comprises:
• Kitchen - with a table and chairs, a built in gas hob with electric oven, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer, microwave oven and is fully equipped with pots and pans, cutlery and dishes.
• Living room- equipped with CD,DVD player, stereo radio and T.V.
• Dining room - with large table and chairs,divan,dresser and writing desk.
• Bedroom one - with a queen size bed (160 cms wide X 200 cms long)
• Bedroom two - with double bed
• Bedroom three - with two single beds
• Bedroom four - with double bed
• Two Bathrooms - with WC's. The ground floor bathroom also contains an automatic washing machine
The garden is equipped with a table, chairs and barbecue, chaises-longues and a full sized ping-pong table with bats and balls. There is secure parking next to the house.
ST. QUENTIN LA POTERIE (4 km). Butcher, supermarket, chemist, alimentation, three bakeries (one of which sells wholemeal bread), 4 doctors, bar with terrace and 14 artist potters each with a showroom to visit. There are also four restaurants and one of the best “Maison de la Terre” in France.
UZÈS (10 km). Première Duchy de France. A market town dating back to before Roman times. The Romans took the waters from Uzès via the Pont du Gard (20 km), to use in their famous baths in Nimes (30 km). Uzès is a pleasure to wander round, to admire the architecture, window shop or just to stop for a while at one of the many bar terraces and watch the world go by. There is a large market every Saturday full of local colour and well worth a visit. There is a hypermarket situated on the outskirts of the town. There are a number of restaurants to choose from to suit most tastes (and pockets).
NIMES (35 km). Gateway to the Camargue, Nimes is an ancient Roman town. Les Arènes, La maison carré are just two examples of the architecture and history to discover here. As in every city, there are extensive shopping facilities and a delightful centre given over entirely to pedestrians. There is a market with street theatre and music every Thursday evening. There is also a large hospital with an outpatients department.
AVIGNON (35 km). Le Palais des Papes, Le pont d’Avignon, La place de l’Horloge, to name but a few of the points of interest dating back to the time when Avignon was the papal capital. There is a pedestrian shopping area in the centre of the town, which is worth a visit too. The famous theatre festival of Avignon fills every available theatre, garage and street corner with actors, clowns and musicians during the second half of July.
ALÈS (35 km). Gateway to the Cevennes Mountains with a very comprehensive shopping centre and weekly market.

The rivers Gardon and Cèze offer river swimming, and canoe hire. There is a good quality riding school at St. Siffret (4 km) and a nine-hole golf course just outside Uzès, and an 18 hole golf course in Nimes.
