Rusty Spur Guest House and Gallery

The Rusty Spur Guesthouse is a cozy 2 bedroom (non-smoking) house with a fully equipped kitchen including gas range, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, and cooking utensils. It also has its own washer and dryer.

The house can accomodate 3-5 people with a double futon in the living room, a double bed in one bedroom, and a rollaway bed in the second bedroom. There is a modern bathroom with shower in the house or an outhouse outside for the more adventurous!

There is a collection of western art adorning the walls. All of the art is for sale and is all moderately priced for a wonderful Montana souvenir to take home!

Located in a peaceful, rural area surrounded by farm fields with open views of the Rocky Mountain Front range to the west, the buttes, bluffs, and Big Belt Mountains to the south, and the Highwood Mountains to the east. Sitting atop the “Sunny Slope” 12 miles west of Fairfield, 50 miles WNW of Great Falls, 14 miles NE of Augusta, and 15 miles S of Choteau.
Close to Freezeout Lake, a waterfowl preserve world renowned for both hunting and bird watching. In the spring and fall, from the guesthouse you can see literally thousands of Swans, Snow geese, and Canadian geese winging their way to and from the lake and resting in the nearby fields.

Also close to hundreds of miles of trails in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Scapegoat Wilderness, Lewis and Clark National Forest, and on the way to Glacier National Park.
