Lyssa will provide congeniality, friendship, and plenty of information about local amusements and things to do in the Asheville area. The B&B is located about 20 minutes from Asheville, Lake Lure or Black Mountain and is a beautiful country drive.

If peace and quiet is what you yearn for, then look no further! Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast will welcome you with open arms and grant you an elusive serenity, calming your heart for the duration of your stay.
Mountain Laurel enjoys four very beautifully distinct seasons here in the mountains. Spring conveys a rebirth of the earth, where something new blooms every month, from daffodils and forsythia to azaleas, crocuses, rhododendron, and thrift. As the temperatures rise and warm up the earth, the blueberry bushes on the hillside out back begin to burst into bloom.
Summer can bring some pretty warm weather and even though Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast has air conditioning, rarely do we need to venture far from the constant breeze of fresh air that reassures our guests and they watch the hummingbirds zip back and forth between the feeders on the deck.
While there are many things to do in the Asheville and surrounding area, many of our guests are content to hang out on the deck exchanging stories Of, if you wish, you may simply relax and soak up nature's beauty and the view that surrounds you.
As summer gives way to fall, the trees wear their colors with pride knowing that this is the time of year when guests and visitors flock to the mountains! If you've never seen the vibrant range of colors the fall season brings to the mountains, you're missing out on quite a show!
By winter, temperatures can tend to be sporadic at best, varying from the mid-teens to the mid-fifties. Snow can fall occasionally, leaving some guests stranded for an extended stay. How many vacations have you spent sledding on the side of a mountain? Getting snowed in can be loads of fun! And then to warm you up after playing hard in the snow, hot chocolate, spiced wine, or hot toddies are available to those who need to be warmed up on the inside. Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast has a gas stove and can heat the house with wood, as well as a generator, so even if the power were to fail, guests will stay warm, have light, and never go hungry! Often Lyssa will make a pot of Corn Crab Chowder for all who are stranded!
No matter what season you prefer, Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast provides a unique getaway experience. Try us at any season - you'll be glad you did!
