Description

Steinboligen is located at Finse, a famous winter resort for mountain skiing and walking - 1.222 meters above sea level on the Bergen- Oslo railway. Only accessible by rail, foot or bike - no cars. These days it is also quite popular to go biking along the old Navvy road leading across the mountain and down to Flåm by the Sognefjord.Steinboligen is both the oldest and newest buliding at Finse, as the refurbishment in 2009 only kept the first floor of meter thick stone walls. Large panoramic windows have been cut out in the south facade with the fantastic view across the Finse lake towards the Hardangerjokul glacier. The apartment is completely new and modern with all facilities and equipment.

Response from the owner We are happy you had a good time. Finse is only "closed" during June as the snow then is melting and it is more difficult to get around, but good advise for this period. Welcome back in the winter or the complete summer - when biking the Rallarvegen is the most popular activity :-)

It has so far not been an issue - there is very seldom such parties there and I will certainly make sure that such partying cannot be accepted. It is a real pity - this place is more known for its tranquility than this. Hope you will give us another chance - and the wood will be replenished of course !
