Excellent place to stay

Stayed here for 7 weeks whilst working in Wick. Excellent location, only a few mins drive from Wick. It is also within walking distance to the local pub which is worth a visit.

'Garden Apartment' is attached to Thrumster house which has large grounds which you are allowed to explore.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic woodland "garden"

Nice little cottage with great views over Lochinver. Set in an area of woodland with tree house and hammocks. Within walking distance of all the amenities the village offers, restaurants, pub, shops. Ideal for families probably not suitable for disabled as access is up steep ill and then grass track to front door.

welcoming seclusion

Picking up the kay and finnding the cottage all went well. The cottage was spotless and well equipped. The seclusion was the most enjoyable thing for us. The scenery was breathtaking and the coming and goings of the sheep that surrounded the cottage added an interesting dimension. It was great base to go and explore Sutherland and Caithness.

Lovely location with amazing sea views, well equiped 3 bedroom cottage, with most modern cons.
Locals very friendly, if you are of Mackay heritage, there are plenty of "relatives " around.
Close to Tongue Village[ 5 minute drive]
Make sure you go to nearby Craggan Hotel for meals, wonderful food at reasonable prices.
Overall the base for a memorable holiday.

The best cottage we have ever stayed in. It was cosy, welcoming, very comfortable and very well equipped. The location was ideal for exploring the North of Scotland.
