“Wonderful!” Michele was awesome every step of the way. She communicated clearly from the start and followed through with meeting us at the flat. The studio was just perfect for the two of us. We walked all over Paris from this location and took the metro which is just across the street. There isn't anything you cant get to from here. The studio was quiet at night and the bed is excellent. Everything was perfect. I'd like to stay a month next time!

“Live like a Parisian” I stayed in two of Didier's apartments. The first night we stayed in his one bedroom. This is a decent sized apartment with old Parisian charm such as wood floors. It is a good size for 2 to 4 people (second bed is in living room). The next 4 nights we stayed in his' two bedroom apartment in an adjacent building. It is large and spacious (except for the toilet room and bathroom, which are quite small). One large bedroom looks out onto the main street making it a very bright and cheerful room, but is very quiet because of the double glass door/window used to insulate the sound. The second bedroom is a little smaller and has a window on the inner courtyard of the building. The kitchen is modern and has all of the necessities. The location is on the boarder of the 7th and 15th districts, and a few short blocks from the metro. While the location is not in the center of the tourist areas, I enjoyed the location. Didier was a great host and very helpful. The only negative is both apartments could use a good spring cleaning. There is some mold in the bathrooms, but mostly I would define the dirt as every day living sort of dirt. Bottom line I feel like I got a good sense of what it is like to live in Paris. Thanks Didier.

“Everything we wanted in an apt. and more” This is a lovely ground-floor apartment overlooking a sunny, gated Parisian courtyard complete with trees and flowering plants. We've stayed on Rue Cler and found it overrun with tourists. We wanted to experience a more authentic Paris. We found it. The warm neighbors, the scrumptious bakery next door, and the proximity to public transit also enhanced our stay. The decor is warm, comfortable and inviting--in contrast to the many sterile apartments that we have seen listed on the internet. It feels like a home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would return in a heartbeat.

“Truly Wonderful!” This lovely apartment was everything I imagined it would be.. and more. The location was ideal - within walking distance to all the places we had on our list. The place itself exuded the charm of Paris with modern conveniences and the warm, rich ambience of home. It was wonderful coming back at the end of the day to relax here. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay.

“Fantastique! Mervielleux!” The location can't be beat. We wandered down the street after a long day & I would make a point of hanging out by the entrance pretending it was my home. I'd wait for other tourists to come by & fiddle with my keys etc. We like to keep the windows open at night- noise level? No problem at all & I like to hear the city at night. Bedrooms (& beds) were very quiet & conducive to a good night's sleep. We went out for meals but also cooked. Kitchen was comfortable & it's easy to put a meal together with all the shops down the block. Bottom line: it's extremely comfortable & is such a great alternative to hotels. I think it's the only way to travel now. Beware you may need to get pulled out kicking & screaming- you won't want to leave I assure you.

“Clean, spacious, nice concierge, and so quiet that the mice must” We had a five night stay in this nicely located apartment a block from the Bastile. Madame andré, the concierge was delightful and most helpful with explaining all about the apartment. The apartment was nicely furnished and the couches and bed were comfortable; the TV and all the appliances were all up to date and worked fine. This unit has two bathrooms, both with a stall shower and a toilet, most unusual for a one bedroom unit. The kitchen is fully furnished, though we didn't do any serious cooking; we never could figure out the microwave, but the washer worked fine. We were but two but the hide a bed couch or couches could accommodate more and the unit is so spacious there is plenty of room for four persons easily. There is no street noise whatsoever, this is a quiet place for sleep and relaxing. This is not the Four Seasons or such, but there is real Parisian charm here for those who want it. Superior onion soup in the small café directly across the boulevard. We would stay here again without question should we be able to return to Paris. In summary, our most memorable place to stay in Paris in our several visits. We recommend it without question. The owner is also very communicative and helpful.

“Forget hotels - stay here!” Booked this as a surprise trip after proposing to my now-fiancée and we absolutely loved it. After searching hotel comparison sites and finding tiny rooms anywhere were £250+ per night, I decided to have a look on Homeaway.co.uk. Reviews for this place were great and the pictures looked amazing - as others have said, this is an absolute bargain compared to much more basic hotel rooms. The pictures don't do the apartment justice - it is incredibly luxurious but also comfortable, with everything you could possibly want provided and offered by the owner. Great for a special occasion or just any trip to Paris really! The location is perfect, just minutes from the Champs-Élysées and around the corner from a Metro station. We rarely used the Metro, with the arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Eiffel Tower and arguably Notre-Dame within walking distance. A few handy shops nearby - no bakeries/patisseries were open when I looked but it was Easter weekend... some great restaurants nearby, would particularly recommend Le Boeuf Sur Le Toit (details in the welcome pack provided). We were extremely surprised they didn't have a Michelin star and they were extremely welcoming, not a fussy dress code etc. (P.S. I strongly recommend the châteaubriand!) Other things to note are that the building is extremely secure, the owner is very trustworthy & that every need will be catered for during your stay. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else next time I visit Paris and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. 12 out of 10!

“Superb Paris apartment” I rented this amazing apartment for a week in June for my adult son and I for his Birthday and it just could not have been more ideal. We fell in love with it immediately. He had his own spacious bedroom with ensuite and I enjoyed my fantastic bedroom and marble ensuite and cute little deck where we had our breakfasts overlooking the garden. The kitchen is extremely well equipped but we paid morning visits to Le Notre for pastries & stocked up on a few cheeses and fruits from Monoprix for breakfast and ate out the rest of the time. Ellen showed us our apartment and spent all the time we needed to get acquainted with our new place, she is the best ! We were so lucky to get this ultra clean apartment in a wonderful quiet neighborhood and would not hesitate to stay there again !! A short walk to the end of the block with a glance to the left rewards you with a glorious view of the L'Arc de Triomphe. What's not to like ?

“Great Apartment, Great Location” Newly renovated apartment, and everything worked. Layout worked well for 2 couples. Apartment was clean and fresh on arrival. The manager was helpful and went out of his way to show how all appliances worked and where the supplies were located. One real convenience was that he left supplies - garbage bags, seasonings, sugar, salt, etc, so we did not have to purchase everything! The apartment is just around the corner from a great shopping street - groceries, restaurants, wine shops - everything you need for an enjoyable stay. And the subway/metro is just a few steps out the front door, making for easy travel in inclement weather. Notre Dame and the Louvre are about 10 walking minutes away. Other major museums are a bit further. Note: WiFi was better than we have at home. What a great place!!

“Convenient Funky Apartment” Dealing with Ratif was a pleasure. He did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He even carried our bags to the top floor apt. We are two lady friends in our late 70's and did not find the stairs a problem The location is convenient to two metro stations. The bathroom situation is unique in that the toilet and sink is in one location and tub/shower, bidet and sink is in a different location all w/i the apt. Yes, the kitchen is small, but compact and there was construction going on in the bldg. while we were there. However we left mid morning and didn't usually return until after 3 so we weren't bothered by it. Advance notice should be given to tenants about it though (see another review). We particularly recommend the night tour with Ratif. He did an excellent job of taking us all over the city and was knowledgeable about the areas. I don't know how he timed the last stop at 11 PM to be the Eiffel Tower just as it started blinking. That was brilliant. All in all a pleasurable experience despite the rainy cool weather.

“Paris Champion” We had a great time at the Paris Champion. The apartment was fun and clean, the kids (16,12,9 and 4) all had a blast playing after long days in Paris. The apartment is close to the metro and we used the guides provided to find food for the whole family to eat at. Thanks for a great adventure.

“Big mistake to pass this by...” We had the pleasure of staying at this recently remodeled contemporary apartment for 5 days. Michelle, the owner was helpful, gracious and at our beakon call for any questions or information. She has provided a book that walks you through anything needed from a grocery store, taxi, shopping, instructions for TV. etc. We walked to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Loevre, etc. The Latin Quarter has everything day or night that you would want in a friendly neighborhood with cafe's, bar's, a pharmacy, a grocery, etc. We had unlimited international/domestic phone access, great wireless connections, kitchen necessities, washer/ dryer, and very comfortable surroundings. The stairs are a little narrow and steep but we went down once a day and up once a day so it was a non-event. I will never stay anywhere else when in Paris. There is not aC but the fans were more than enough and we seldom used them. Thank you, Michelle

About Paris

Widely billed as the most romantic city in the world, Paris has rightfully earned its reputation as a must-see destination. An enormously influential center of culture, art, and fashion, this historic city is brimming with charming neighborhoods, breathtaking architecture, scenic views, and some of the world's best museums. When the sun goes down, you'll also see why Paris earned the nickname "City of Light."

While there are endless attractions for visitors of all tastes, the city's must-see sights include:

  • L'Arc de Triomphe: This stirring monument is one of the most iconic symbols of Paris and it is well worth a visit.
  • Eiffel Tower: No visit to Paris is complete without a stop at the Eiffel Tower. Take the elevator up to the highest level for an astonishing view of the city.
  • Museums: Paris is home to some of the most famous museums in the world. If you only have time for a couple, make them the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. Seeing all the Paris, France museums would take a dedicated holiday of its very own!
  • Champs-Elysees: Spend an hour or two strolling up and down Paris' famous shopping district, and stop at a sidewalk restaurant or cafe for a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Many tours of Paris, France originate on this famous boulevard.
  • Notre Dame cathedral: This Gothic cathedral is considered one of the most impressive feats of architecture in the western world.

While you can visit Paris anytime and have a memorable adventure, spring is widely considered the best time to see the city come alive. Paris also hosts an impressive party in July, when France celebrates its national holiday, Bastille Day. If you're visiting with the family, Euro Disney and Paris, France go hand-in-hand.

Getting your own vacation rental instead of staying in a hotel is perfect for couples enjoying a romantic holiday, families visiting Europe and group vacations in Paris. Renting your own apartment for the duration of your stay gives you more space, privacy and better amenities than a cramped hotel room.

If you want to explore more of France, the famous palace of Versailles is a short train ride from the city, and the storied region of Burgundy lies just to the southeast. Head there for a sampling of world-class wine and an up-close look at French country life.

Great apartment well located..

While the Apartmenti is not in as pristine condition as the pictures imply, it has offered a wonderful base for our group of three adult and three kids to roam Paris. Amazing location!

I booked this flat mainly due to the price and couldn't believe how good the location was! Ten minute walk from Gare du Nord, 5 minutes from Sacre Coeur, and two minutes from the nearest metro - can't ask for much more than that! Laura was also particularly accommodating for my timings, which was perfect given that I was booking last minute!see more

In the Heart of Paris, a home away from home on the Ile Saint Louis

From the minute we threw open the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Rue St. Louis, we knew that #38 was going to be the perfect location for our stay. We found ourselves standing in a sophisticated room with ancients stone wall on one side and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves around a fireplace on the other. The whole apartment was charming and very comfortable The Ile St. Louis is a little jewel--a microcosm of Parisian restaurants, shops, markets, galleries, cafes and salon des glaces--virtually everything we could need for this return trip to Paris. When we forced ourselves off the island, we were quickly in the Latin Quarter or next to the Marais or the Louvre and the rest of the city. Our arrival was made perfect in every way: we found contact with the owner both helpful and friendly; his woman-on-the-spot--Connie--greeted us when we arrived early and graciously showed us all around the apartment. It was spotlessly clean and fitted out with all the necessities to make our stay convenient. We appreciated all the techno features: the TV, the stereo system, the easy internet, as well as the availability of a clothes washing machine. Our neighbors on one side of the entrance were young new owners of a wonderful fromagerie; on the other side, a restaurant that was always full of customers. We were delighted to be on this vivacious street. Couldn't think of a better way to feel like a native than to slip into the entrance and up the winding wooden stairs to this lovely apartment!see more

What a great apartment. Located in a quiet neighborhood just blocks away from many great restaurants and of course the Eiffel Tower! Jasmine and Rafic are great host and will help you with any plans you have for visiting Paris. They make you feel like you are family. The apartment is decorated with Jasmines fine art and a collection of pieces they have acquired from their travels. Great location and great host!

Our first time to Paris. We had two kids and two adults, and location was perfect. Walking distance to the Louvre and at least 3 metro stations. Fabrice was so helpful and quick with answers. Living room has traffic noise in the day but that’s the price for being in a bustling road! We weren’t ever home anyways so it didn’t matter. Loved the cafe right across the street for breakfast. Lots of stairs to walk up to get to apartment so if you can’t make it up a winding narrow staircase 4 flights this might not be for you. This was all part of the charm for us though!see more
