“Yeloowstone Vacation” Location of condo was great! Very close to West Yellowstone gate, but quieter and less expensive than staying in West Yellowstone. Condo was vey comfortable and the area was so quiet. In addition to visiting YNP we went to the Teton Valley, Lake Hebgen, and also visited Bear World in Rigby. While at the condo we played golf, frisbee golf, and swam in the pool. Awesome vacation.

Eagles Perch

Island Park house

  • 5 bedrooms
  • 4 bathrooms
  • sleeps 18

“Loved Eagles Perch! Beautiful, clean & comfy!” We had 5 adults and 6 children in our group and Eagles Perch accommodated us perfectly! The children's loft with 8 beds is much larger than the pictures do justice. And the play loft above the 2nd floor was darling and much used by our group. The beds and linens were comfy and fresh! There were plenty of towels for our use. The theater room was great and fit all of us in comfortably. We found all of the pots, pans and utensils we needed. We even found birthday candles which we had forgotten and needed! The only things we had trouble with were getting the satellite to work and we could not find any large trash bags for the kitchen garbage. Other than that, everything was perfect! We hope to go back again sometime!

About West Yellowstone

Whether you’re looking for a big adventure in the wilderness or a peaceful place to recharge, West Yellowstone is the ideal base camp for enjoying some of the country’s most beautiful terrain. As Yellowstone National Park’s busiest gateway community, this charming town (pop. 1,300) plays host to 4 million visitors each year. Surrounded by three national forests, prairies, peaks, and lakes, West Yellowstone is a four-season hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts.

During the summer, the area’s hidden fishing spots, mountain bike trails, and whitewater rapids take center stage. As the seasons change, however, Montana’s famous “cold smoke” powder steals the spotlight. Winters in West Yellowstone can be frigid and bitter—the town holds the record for the lowest recorded temperature in the continental US—but skiers and snowmobilers relish the groomed trails and frosty scenery. Wildlife viewing is popular year-round, but especially during the spring (when wildlife newborns appear) and fall (when elk mating season occurs).

While the region’s most famous sights are located within the park, West Yellowstone still has plenty to offer visitors, from quaint shops to quirky restaurants. Fueling up for your next big adventure? Casual pizza joints, cozy breakfast spots, and fantastic tacos are all on order here. The local IMAX Theater, a great spot to visit after a full day of exploring, screens nature films and blockbusters on its six-story screen. If you’re interested in getting up close and personal with area wildlife, check out the exhibits and interactive displays at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. (The educational facility is also home to grizzlies and wolves that wouldn’t otherwise survive in the wild.)

No matter when you visit, West Yellowstone boasts enough outdoor activities to make your head spin. Cast your line in top blue-ribbon trout streams, or try your luck at Hebgen Lake, one of the state’s top stillwater fisheries. If mountain biking is more your style, you’ll be pleased to discover that the TransAmerica Trail carves a path directly through town. And while Yellowstone offers more than 1,000 miles of trails in the park, the forests around West Yellowstone are also a dreamscape for hikers—not to mention cross-country skiers and snowmobilers. Thanks to 150 inches of annual snowfall, Rendezvous Trail System is as popular during the winter as it is during warmer months.

With its wildlife, geysers, and iconic vistas, you could spend weeks soaking up the scenery in Yellowstone National Park. See world-famous waterfalls and hot springs, go for a swim in the Firehole River, or spend time learning about the history of the park at the West Yellowstone Visitors Center. Whether you have two days or two weeks to spend here, this natural wonder is a must-see destination that belongs on your bucket list.

West Yellowstone rentals make it easy to take advantage of all that the region has to offer. Explore the selection of rustic cabins, cozy retreats, and spacious lodges available on FlipKey to find the perfect accommodations for your next Rocky Mountain Adventure.

Mtn Luxury at Yellowstone Park Entrance - 2 bedroom units
Fabulous condo!

We stayed in this very comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bath condo within minutes of the entrance to Yellowstone. It is also within walking distance to the small town of West Yellowstone and across the street from the Gruzzly & Wolf Discovery Center. Front desk is available 24 hours and check- in was easy. King bed was super comfortable. The condo also has 2 twins and a Murphy bed. It was well stocked with everything we needed and very clean. It is located on the second floor with an elevator available, if needed. There are 3 gas grills, picnic table, a basketball half court, ping pong, foosball, pool table, playset, hot tub and indoor pool. We also enjoyed eating on the patio. Wifi is available for a fee but not sure how much as we used our hotspot. We loved it and would definitely stay here again.see more

Perfect for family gathering!

Booked Adsaroka Cabin for a family gathering. Husband and I were celebrating 50th Anniversary and wanted the family with us. What a wonderful rental, everything you need is provided. Plenty of room for the 14 of us that were there/ Never saw a place stock so many towels! Also very clean. Within walking distance to all good things in West Yellowstone. West entrance to the park was right there. Couldn't ask for a better place! This was definitely a great find and worth a repeat visit.see more

Sheep Mountain Cabin - near West Yellowstone
Great cabin -- close to Yellowstone

The cabin was in a good location if you're looking for a bit of R&R. Close to the Yellowstone entrance (approximately 30 minutes) but not in the middle of W. Yellowstone which, for us, was almost too busy and "touristy". It had all the amenities you needed including wifi, satellite etc. (everything to keep two college aged kids happy - and not completely disconnected). We cooked two nights and ate out at the Grizzly Bar & Grill twice (yes, it was that good - try the ribs and the bison burger) - approximately 10 minutes from the cabin on Rt. 287 and recommended by the owner, Mike. If you're looking for a clean cabin among a beautiful setting and nice place to stay, this is it.see more
