Additional Location Information
After spending a year in the area and searching for the best location to 'lay down roots'; I found this property with my daughter and walked the land. I immediately felt a sense of the history of this acreage and upon further research, I found that the Civil War was fought around here. The book that described the land and the area is named: The Secret of War by Terrel Garren. This is the story of his family lineage and many of the grave stones in the nearby cemetery bear his family name. Although rural; getting to the nearby towns is simple and quick; a short drive in any direction to activities, shopping, grocery stores and restaurants.
The land in this area has been in local families for generations. The area residents are protective of their heritage and respectful of the history. I, too, appreciate their love for this land.

"I have had the privilege of staying in this beautiful home many times. The first thing that takes you in is the amazing view, no matter the time of year. Sipping coffee (hot or iced!) while rocking on the porch swing is one of my very favorite places to be. When you walk in this home, decorated with a rustic elegance, the first thing you feel is peace...amazing peace, as you realize you are actually in a modern-day tree house! It is comfortable and classy, and all of the artistic touches just make me marvel. It is a one of a kind home, perfect for families or couples. For a true vacation getaway, this mountain retreat stands alone among anything else out there."

What an amazing stay my husband and I had at this lovely mountain home. Each room is cozy, and beautifully appointed. Tuscany style meets the elegant rustic mountains of North Carolina. From the spacious and luxurious master suite with garden tub to the family fun of the bunkhouse downstairs complete with "beary" charming accessories. The outdoor double deck was a lovely relaxing area for enjoying a glass of wine as we watched the sunsets over the Blue Ridge. Fireplaces upstairs and downstairs made it perfect for snuggling on the couch while watching a movie. A truly unique and inviting experience conveniently located in the town of Fletcher between Hendersonville, Asheville and the Lake Lure area. Easy day trips abound making the most of our short weekend. Shopping in Hendersonville, enjoying the many attractions and dining options of asheville as well as outdoor sports in the Lake Lure area makes this home the perfect getaway. If you are looking for a truly memorable experience with the most bang for your buck then Sandi's Mountain Home is the place! We can't wait to come back!

This house is a dream home, private, quiet, rich in amenities from the comfy beds to the luxurious towels, the gourmet kitchen, Keurig coffee maker and the huge wrap around panoramic deck. Everything is within 15 minutes of market, coffee shops, movies, delicious restaurants and shopping.
You can run away as much as you want, or socialize as much as you want.
This is a real winner, and the price is amazing for what you get.
We will definitely be back.
Loved the Master bedroom on main floor with kids and others downstairs away from Master.
