The villa is organized into three levels and presents some of the most beautiful and characteristic examples of “pietra serena” details, that are very visible in the courtyard and the various columns and corbels. The gardens of this villa are spectacular. Arriving through the private electric gate with surveillance cameras and intercom system from the gatehouse and the Villa. Passing along the private driveway impressively lined with centuries old cypress trees leading up to the main entrance. Entering through the formal entrance into ‘ the cortile’ ( courtyard) which is decorated with large terra cotta vases and jasmine, gorgeous Della Robbia ceramic Madonna and Child which is worthy of a place in Florence’s great Uffizi Museum. Ground Floor: Ground Level: Entering in to the Villa the main entry hall is decorated with antique mirrors, large antique table with decorative bronze hunting dog collection. The Ballroom is completely decorated by frescoes with gorgeous chandelier. The Grand piano is to the right and a newly added seating area is placed by the windows.These frescos and wall paintings have been featured in many design and home decor magazines - they are exceptional! The Blue Living room is also heavily decorated by frescoes and the most comfortable gathering area inside the Villa. Seating for up to 14 persons is possible in the room. The Bar is a lovely room with a card table and mirrored bar room. The Library with a wonderful collection of sailboat models is also the T.V. room. Satellite TV, DVD. The Dining Room is on the Ground Floor and the table can seat up to 22 persons. There is a large Powder room and Bathroom off of the Blue Living Room. Bedroom #1 is located on the Ground floor and boasts a king size bed with comfortable arm chairs for seating. The Empire style furnishings and epic Canopy bed make this room the most elegant of all. The en suite bathroom is decorated from floor to ceiling with frescoes in dark greens shades. The bathtub is beautifully fitted with antique fixtures. The love seat makes for a very relaxing bathroom. There is one sink and no shower. First Floor: The first level comprises 5 master bedrooms each with private bathroom with bathtub and shower, a master bedroom with private bathroom for the staff along with other rooms for service use. On this floor are the other bedrooms suites: Bedroom #2, La Rosa is a junior suite. Very room and absolutely charming. Twin beds pushed together make up a king size bed. The comfortable seating area with two sofas with twin pink poufs in the middle. This is a corner suite therefore there are three very large windows with views of Florence’s finest villas. Absolutely perfect. The en suite bathroom is large and has twin sinks, large marble shower with glass door and separate tub. All of the bathrooms in the villa are of the highest level. Plenty of wardrobe space in the bedroom and in the powder room. Bedroom #3, is also a junior suite. Colours used here are lit beige and dark blue. The bed is a king size bed and the bathroom has twin sinks, marble shower, separate tub and plenty of space. All bathrooms come complete with Le Rose Signature amenities. Also a corner suite this room also boasts three beautiful windows with views overlooking the Cyprus lined drive leading to the villa. Bedroom #4, is the Master Suite otherwise known as the Green Room due to the wonderful green used in the bathroom. This lovely suite has a functioning fireplace and very comfortable seating for afternoon tea or just relaxing. The large bathroom consists of a powder room with dressing table and ample wardrobe space. The bathroom has twin sinks, shower and separate tub. All bathrooms have a bidet and WC. Bedroom #5, is the Orient Bedroom. This is the smallest bedroom and not on the same level as the other bedrooms due to its size. However this bedroom also has an en suite bathroom with twin sink, marble shower, separate tub and of course the bidet. Bedroom #6 Le Rose is connected to the Orient Bedroom by an adjoining door however also has entry from the first floor landing. This corner junior suite is large and very cosy with fireplace and comfortable seating area. The oversized couch can be turned into a comfortable single bed making this bedroom a triple if necessary. There is also an apartment suitable for staff on this floor, complete with en suite bathroom and mini kitchenette for warming food, tea, coffee, baby bottles etc.. The lower level is entirely is entirely dedicated to the huge tuscan style kitchen with big old fire place in “pietra serena”, the big dinner table, the cupboard, and other useful rooms and spaces that serve kitchen related needs. The Kitchens, laundry and staff quarters are located adjacent to the back yard and garage. The kitchen is a large open style kitchen with typical Tuscan fireplace for indoor grilling and food preparation. The kitchen is complete with all modern amenities and plenty of space for food storage. Next to the kitchen is the garage which can be used on request. Staff includes: Butler available from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM and from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM Daily Cleaning 6 days per week for up to 6 hours per day. If this is not sufficient in order to keep the house in order clients will be requested to pay for additional hours. Daily cleaning service is basic straighten up of bedrooms, cleaning bathrooms and common areas. Daily cleaning does not include washing of dishes from the night before if left by clients. If clients wish to prepare meals on their own with no services requested they are also responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Breakfast preparation 6 days per week, food is not included. Meet and Greet at the airport by Villa representative, this is not transportation but the villa will send a representative to meet clients on their arrival to the airport or train station and escort them to the villa. If clients are not booking a rental car any sort of transportation is available on request. Full Time 24 hour concierge service via telephone. Outside area and Pool, The loggia is decorated with wrought iron chairs and couches ideal of hot summer days, the Loggia is always quite cool. The pool area is to the left of the formal entrance and is accessed by passing through a low wrought iron gate. The pool area is completely fenced in. The pool is oval shaped painted the colour of blue/slate, extremely tasteful, the garden walls are original walls of the villa. The views are stunning. The covered dining area near the pool is ideal for easy going picnics or cocktails. In the far end of the pool area is a table for up to 6 people and can be used for light lunches. An outdoor covered dining area will be added this winter and will be placed with easy access to the kitchen. A lounge area with wrought iron chairs and tables is close to the dining area and is ideal for cocktails.
