Olive Barn is situated in the quiet village of Blakeney , in a private gated complex.
One / Two night stays are available please ask for a quotation.
There is an on- site village shop selling fresh bread, home cured bacon and a variety of local sausages.In the village we have an Italian restaurant, and award winning Fish & Chip shop and village innsselling fine ales & cider.Within a three mile walk though beautiful countryside, with running streams full of local trout, wehave the Dean Heritage Centre,Speech House Nature Trail, Dean Forest Railway and the famous Go Ape for the ultimate tree top adventure.We are twenty minutes drive from the Wye Valley where you can experience more mind blowing country walks, canoeing, caving fishing and so much more..
One small well behaved Pet welcome + £30 per stay.
One night stay available on request POA.

“Lovely cottage and area”
Loved our stay at the Olive Barn, Dave the owner is really hospitable and gave lots of recommendations one where to eat. The cottage is lovely and well maintained. Thank you for having us ❤️

“Perfect getaway in a beautiful and practical chocolate box cottage”
Perfect getaway in a beautiful and practical chocolate box cottage. I cannot believe I managed to find this place as booked very last minute. The cottage is beautiful whilst also having everything you need. There is a local shop just next door and a chip shop a few steps away. We went canoeing on Ross on Wye which was a 25 min drive away. Also there are lots of pubs nearby. David the owner was really helpful in recommending the best pubs and advise on those serving food on the nights we were there (with covid some pubs are only serving food certain days). When I get the chance for another holiday I will think of going here again. Perfect place as a base for going out to do activities but I ca also imagine it would be lovely to stay as a break away with a good book Thank you David for the lovely cottage and for being so friendly and helpful.

“Excellent trip”
Have just spent a really comfortable few days here. The facilities are superb and the decor beautiful! We will be recommending the Olive Barn to our friends and family.

“Olive Barn perfect break”
Really excellent accommodation and good location. Recommend for short breaks in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Well stocked shop next door and considerate hosts. Only gripe could do with more information on system for recycling rubbish. But hey an excellent place.

“Brilliant location”
This was a lovely cottage situated in the village of Blakeney, ideal for visiting the beautiful area. The owner was very welcoming, we would definitely visit again.

Response from the owner Sorry you guys I think the problem was we did not let you sleep with your dog !! we do take other guests into consideration, that has to sleep in the same beedroom after your departure. Please remember this is a holiday Cottage, not a relocation Cottage. had you of read the rules on pets sleeping in the bed before booking you may have reconsidered. Regards David

“Short break in Forest of Dean”
Fab, accommodation, would definitely be happy to come back. David gave us a warm welcome and was very enthusiastic about the local area giving us suggestions of places to eat too. We came with two dogs and they both enjoyed it too.
