Peace and Quiet in the country

Left on Dec 02, 2009 for a stay in August 2008

Loved our stay in this cottage. It was beautifully decorated and the hot tub was a real bonus. The view at the back was a highlight - we would come back from a day out and either sit in the hot tub or sit with a cup of tea on the patio chairs and watch the sheep grazing in the fields. Very relaxing. The owners were very friendly. It was nice to arrive and find milk in the fridge and a cake …

Cozy, Charming, comfortable flat

Left on Dec 04, 2009 for a stay in March 2008

The flat was easy to find, a good location, and very comfortable. The gas fireplace made it extra cozy, as the March weather was quite blustery. Full kitchen with all the conveniences, HUGE bathtub for soaking, large comfortable rooms. And lots of natural light from tall windows and skylight. Lovely views. A real "home," not just an apartment for renting. We found it to be an excellent value, and…

A beautiful hideaway in the middle of nowhere

Left on Mar 23, 2011 for a stay in March 2011

I stayed here for 5 days from the beginning of March and I say hideaway in the middle of nowhere because that's what it feels like, although you are just 5 mins away from the nearest village and 7 or 8 mins away from a big Tesco and civilisation.

The barns are beautifully renovated and extremely clean - the kitchen has all the utensils, and pots and pans, you'd ever need and a handy washing …

Beautiful Cottage with lovely hosts

Left on Nov 18, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

Rented this cottage with my children and my Mum. We had a fabulous week. The weather was reasonably kind and we were able to get out every day. But to come back to this lovely property was the real treat of the holiday. Beautifully decorated, fantastic facilities with a log burner to keep us cosy. An excellent pub as well right on our doorstep for tea every evening with a landlady who …

    Excellent property

Left on Feb 13, 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We hired Brooklyn for the week and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. An ideal property for a family or a large group. Leek has a variety of small independant shops (try Haywood Interiors) and local markets so if you're looking for a High Street as it used to be then Leek's the place to go.

Relaxing holiday in a lovely cottage, great area.

Left on Dec 03, 2009 for a stay in September 2008

The cottage has been sympathetically restored and provides every modern comfort. It was impeccably clean and although the area is quiet the village provides interesting walks. The local pubs give good value and produce good food. It is a short distance away from other attractions, say Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall which are a "must" to see.
I cannot find fault and would stay there again.
