Comfortable, relaxing, secluded and elegant are the best words to describe this wonderful cabin. Leave all of your worries and troubles behind to enjoy this special cabin in the woods. Ravenwood Cottage is a two story secluded bed and breakfast just 9.5 short miles from Fredericksburg. Entering the cabin stop to enjoy the Texas sized porch with both an eating and sitting area (with ceiling fans to keep you cool on those hot summer days).
Downstairs is the living area with a loveseat placed to enjoy the television (DVD only) or just sit and listen to music on the Radio/CD/Ipod player. Enjoy breakfast on the table for two. The kitchen offers a coffeebar with refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The bathroom is downstairs and has a shower. On the second floor is a spacious bedroom with queen bed and a cozy reading nook.
Your hosts were attracted to this property because of its natural surroundings. The property (2 1/2 acres) offers numerous walking paths, many wildflowers, a picnic area, and excellent bird watching. Additionally Ravenwood is registered with the National Wildlife Foundation as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat or "wildscape" which means we provide food, water, and shelter for wildlife. This is the ideal place for getting away from the "big" city and enjoying all the best things the Texas Hill Country is renown for.

The wife and I have stayed in quite a few B & B's, and the Ravenwood ranks with the best of them. The location among the trees is splendid. From the personalized sign greeting us on entry to the complimentary toiletries, the hosts have provided all the little amenities that make the big difference in a fine B & B. We are already planning to return again.

We could not have chosen a better place to stay than Ravenwood! Tucked away in a secluded, wooded area this B&B; was perfect for our weekend. From the wonderful breakfasts under the porch ceiling fans with the fountain quietly gurgling in the background to the wooded area trails, we knew we had chosen the right place to come to for recharging. The travel into Fredricksburg was quick and easy, but we found we preferred being at the cabin! There was not a detail that our host and hostess did not think of. The cabin is beautifully decorated with many small, precious touches that showed the love and thoughtfulness of the hosts. We definitely will return again!
