Where do I even start? The Barn at Alamo Springs was simply blissful. My family and I really enjoyed the 2 days that we were there. From hospitality of the owners to the beauty of the luscious landscape to the many peaceful animals that would cross the "Barns" path was breath taking, The cabin was very clean and inviting once you stepped into the "Barn" from the king size bed to the Jacuzzi. There's so many things to see and do in Fredricksberg which is a short drive from the cabin to main street. The "bat cave" is just steps from the "barn" and definitely a must see and finally the restaurant across the street from the "barn" has remarkable food, if you enjoy burgers! A MUST for your BUCKET LIST!

My husband and I came to Frederibksburg for our anniversary and stayed at the Barn, and it was amazing. The setting is beautiful, serene, and secluded. The cottage was very country chic and we absolutely loved it. The drive into Fredericksburg was not bad, and worth the seclusion. Over all it was a wonderful way for us to celebrate 12 wonderful years of marriage!

Our stay in this beautiful cottage was absolutely perfect. We travelled to Fredericksburg to celebrate our anniversary and didn't really want to stay in a hotel in town. I did a simple internet search to find an alternative. Of all the places available, Alamo Springs was nicest we found.
Upon arriving, we found the cottage completely ready. There were dishes in the cabinets, fluffy towels in the bath and food in the frig. The furnishings were inviting and the bed...the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
While the drive out to the cottage from Fredericksburg takes 15 to 20 minutes, the drive is full of beautiful Hill Country scenery. One evening upon returning we saw herds of deer, not one or two but herds! The next morning we had hummingbirds buzzing around the feeder on the porch.
All in all, our stay was wonderful and we look forward to returning to alamo Springs again and again.

My husband and I celebratee our 15th anniversary the first weekend in March. Had some problems getting into the place but was walked thru the alternative plan by great staff. W had a great time. Loved the romantic setting! Only downside was the Cafe was closed :( for vacation. Had heard lots of great things about the food so we will just have to come back again. Would also like to come back when the bats are flying in. Very interesting walking along the trail reading the history of the bat tunnel. We took a day trip to Lukenbach and enjoyed the Rockbox Theater in town for the Grand Finale to our weekend. Thanks for a great weekend! Btw I surprised him with this weekend!
