Oma Yaeger’s Haus gets its name from and is dedicated to Vicki Yaeger Boykin, who lived there and had created plans to operate a B&B; in the front room. She never realized that dream therefore Oma’s Haus is a tribute to Vicki, and is brought to you by the family members who loved her. She was involved, along with her family, in the creation of “The Shed” guest house next door, which she also used to oversee. As you look around at the house you will notice that this home was built in two different eras. The original house includes the elevated portion of the front and was built in the 1950’s, the later addition was built in the 1990’s. The house was originally part of a much larger parcel of land that was split up and sold.
Entering into the spacious living, kitchen and dining rooms with the vaulted ceilings will give you a feeling of family and sharing. The wonderful space is open and yet cozy. The living room has a leather sofa, loveseat and chair placed to enjoy the Direct TV satellite HDTV. A table for four is found behind the sofas and next to the kitchen. A fully equipped kitchen is available for your use. The kitchen has a large island with everything needed for your stay including a large refrigerator, stovetop/oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker and microwave.
From the living room take a step up into the hallway where two separate bedrooms are found—both with queen beds. A bath is in a hallway next to the front bedroom and has tub with shower. The fireplace in the back bedroom is decorative only.
