Hello there!

My name is Ngaire and my husband's name is Jim. I´m a born and bred Kiwi (he's a Scotty!) with a passion for hosting and sharing my country. We are both in our sixties but are active and (both) work part-time in Nelson, me as an Occupational Therapist, him as a counsellor/mediator/conciliator.

Jim and I love the Nelson region for its diverse landscapes, fantastic food and wine and unique arts and crafts culture. I like nothing better than strolling around our native bush garden, camera in hand to "snap" the native birds that abound. Jim's preferred recreational activity is heading out to sea in his boat, hopefully to catch some Blue Cod or Snapper for dinner. For quiet times, we both enjoy a glass of fine local Sauvignon Blanc and either read, listen to music or take in a DVD.

When not at home we enjoy traveling both here in NZ and abroad. In the last few years Jim and I have traveled through Asia, the US and Europe.
