NewRiverdogrun is a truly unique and special home. Nestled within its own haven of woods, pastures, gardens and the river, it has everything a home could offer. The serene and peaceful lay of the land and our home has made it a haven for years to us as a family and many friends and visitors. As a photographer and as a young child I was blessed to be able to spend much of my life travelling all over the world. There is so much beauty and charm in so many places we go and see. Travelling is a gift and education that we are so fortunate to be have in our lives. Despite all the countries, areas and people I had travelled and lived amongst, Boone and the Heart of the High country become my home over 34 years ago. The geography, the culture, the seasons, the botanics , the people and the way of life here seemed ideal for healthy and happy life. Life on the New River becomes an art in motion. From a overgrown tract of land with just an old cabin, we have created a home and haven .
