A semi-retired, highly active individual, Rick has a life-long experience ensuring the needs of guests are looked after beyond their expectations. 

Rick was born in Mexico City, in his early teens he moved with his family to Greenwich, Connecticut and then to Vancouver, B.C. where he attended university, worked, and lived most of his life. He started his service industry career back in  the early 1970's working then for the now extinct Devonshire Hotel, then he made a moved to the Hotel Vancouver while at the same time putting himself through university, lastly he ended up working with the Four Seasons Hotel as senior manager. In the mid 1990's he left the Four  Seasons and started his own business that earned him several service awards, a very successful, 150 seat, French Cuisine, gourmet Restaurant located in West Vancouver called "La Belle Sole Restaurant" . 
In 2002 he moved from Vancouver to Mexico City and then Quintana Roo where he worked for El Dorado Chain of Resorts until 2012. Once he arrived on the Mayan Riviera in 2003 he knew he was home and quickly envision a small vacation rental business. In 2012 right after leaving El Dorado Resorts, he began with his first rental property in Puerto Morelos ,Villa Xa'An; shortly after, in 2014 followed with a second property, a penthouse condo in Playa del Carmen named Kin Maya.
Proud of his new role as owner / host he enjoys welcoming guest from around the world and sharing with them the simple beauty, comfort and peacefulness of the Mayan Riviera and the properties he rents throughout the year. With a clear view and long term commitment to service, attention to his guests is of utmost importance and takes special pride on providing first class, well looked-after properties always striving to surpass guest expectations.
