I have had a longtime love affair with Mexico going back 30 years when I lived for a year in Mexico travelling around the country. My training as an architect haslead to a real passion for the historic architecture of Mexico, especially the builidngs of the 17th and 18th century. Another passion is cooking and there is a rich tradtion of regional cooking in Mexico which he has been exploring for years. I learnt spanish in university which allowed me access to many aspects of the country which the average tourist might miss. I am a Canadian from a small town in Canada and appreciate the value of being part of a community. I have found the town of Puerto Vallarta to be especially welcoming and I am making friends among both Mexicans and the large ex pat community. My goal is to retire in Mexico.
