A couple of boat weary sailors stumbled into Progreso one day looking for refuge. After 12 years of living on a 40 foot sailboat, it was either buy a house or someone was going to be marooned on an uncharted island somewhere. We were shown this house when we were heading back to Cancun to catch a plane back to the Bahamas where our boat was located. We fell in love. We had walked in and out of endless casas in the previous weeks and when we walked into this one, we knew we had found a treasure.
