My name is Chase B. and I love the smell of possibility in the morning. I’m an entrepreneur from Traverse City, MI that loves new ideas, breaking the rules and challenging the status quo.

My family is very important to me, including my parents as well as my sister and three nieces.
I began working on HireStarts in October 2011 and immediately fell in love w entrepreneurship and the startup community. My favorite part is working alongside my best friends while we try and accomplish something BIG. The energy, ideas and passion in the startup world make it the ideal place for me.

I enjoy reading, my favorites include The Lean startup and anything Jules Verne. When I’m away from my computer you can find me hiking in Northern Michigan, Golfing with friends, playing chess at the local coffee shop or competing in Casino poker tournaments.

I love adventure, and plan to travel the world. One of my bucket list goals is to through hike the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, which should take about 5 months.
I’M passionate about my growing my local startup community and whether I’m attracting new talent, providing resources, or mentoring startups I always find a way to stay involved.

I am one of the most optimistic people you will ever meet and always find a way to overcome adversity. I am the type of person who always thinks there is a better way to do things and I want to share my passion and excitement with the people I meet as well as learn everything I can from their experiences.
